What were your parents like with other children's parents when you were growing up?

Beyond when we were babies, absolutely not. Although she was friendly in passing, my mother was never friends with any of my friend's parents and mostly had/met friends through her work.

My parents weren’t really friends with any of my friend’s parents. They pretty much only hung out with my aunts and uncles.

My dad and I did a lot of community theater together, alongside other parent-child combos. So he was friends with those friends' parents. But other than that, not really. I knew kids from all over, my parents had friends from all over, and most of them didn't happen to match up.

I grew up in a remote, northern community where everybody knew everybody. If you weren’t related, at the very least your families had known each other for generations. I guess I’d say they were all friendly.
