What were your 'Best Spent Monies'?

Leaving out travel, vacation home, etc....

The best "thing" I've spent more than I should have on is our Delonghi Dinamica Plus espresso/coffee maker (on sale for around $1400). It cost a crazy amount of money, but DH and I agree it is probably the best item we have ever purchased. We use it every day, and all of our neighbors/friends stop by for a coffee, espresso, macchiato, latte, etc.
We have a Magnifica that I bought for DH years ago -- totally worth it. I'm fine with drip (or...gasp...even instant), but he LOVES his gourmet coffee.

That reminds me -- I did get DH a Weber Genesis gas grill for birthday/Father's Day one year. It's been amazing, and the Weber customer service will absolutely make us customers for life.

thought of another-a big green egg. we use it almost exclusively close to half the year.

My folks next door neighbors have o e of these and say the same thing! Last time we were down there, they wanted us to come over and see it, which we thought was a bit much to have to go and see a coffee maker! But next time I’m down there, I may just take them on it now!

For us, it’s all been about travel and experiences and ways to spend more time with family and friends.

We worked hard and saved well and the last couple years, have started spending more. A lake house (and jet skis) about 3 years ago, which we love to host friends and family all summer long at. This year, we bought a boat as well.

Our vacation last summer on an African safari was a huge spend, but a bucket list trip for our boys and us.

And as I write this, we’re in the middle of a trip to Switzerland. 😁

40 years ago I bought a lifetime no fee gym membership for $500. Over the decades, the name and ownership has changed several times. It is now called LA Fitness. It was called something else when I bought it. I still use it to this day at their clubs all over the country.
