What were you doing ?

JFK: I was 19 months old, but my mother tells me I was with her at the drug store in our little downtown area when she received the news about JFK.

MLK: I don't remember about MLK, but I do remember a few months later watching Bobby Kennedy's train processional for his funeral.

Moonwalk: Our parents made all of us watch it on our black and white TV. I remember going out and looking up at the moon to try to see something.

Challenger: I walked into the lounge during my 2nd year of law school to see the TVs showing the accident. I asked a classmate if Sally Ride was on this mission, forgetting about Christa McAuliffe.

9/11: I was running late for work when my mom called and told me to turn on the TV. I was watching with her on the phone when the second plane hit. I went to work and told my office people what was going on, so we listened on the radio the entire day. I remember being in a trance almost, going about my work day as though nothing out of the ordinary was going on. It wasn't until that night watching the news that I allowed myself to accept the enormity of what had just happened.
