Yes, it did both. It snowed about 5:30pm which i guess was the castle lighting and then it snowed after the fireworks around 8pm.

So my mom and I foolishly planned our trip for Dec. 8th and 9th, only later to discover that the park closes at 6pm both days for Cast Member Christmas parties. Fortunately the schedule says that fireworks will still go on at 5:45pm on these days....do you think they'll still have the castle lighting ceremony at 5:30?

Probably - it's actually a 3 part show, with the last part being at the end of the fireworks. I would check with the information desk by the tip and times board to see what the actual schedule is on those nights.

Huh, I had NO idea they did it for the castle lighting, I've never watched that. Something else for my list....lol
