Holy Carp!! The movie, The Last American Virgin, is on and I just realized I saw this movie when I was either 10 or 11. :scared1: I know it probably came on HBO or Showtime and I guess my parents were sleeping when I watched it. I would die if I knew my DS10 saw this. Wowzer!

When VCR's first come out my BFF and I snuck and watched Friday the 13th when her parents were out. We were scared to death. They came home and every light in the house was on with chairs and a mini barracade behind all the doors.:lmao: We never did fess up until years later.

I have that beat. My parents took me to see The Exorcist when I was 3!:scared1: I remember being at the drive-in theater and being so completely terrified. I still tell my mom "what were you thinking".

I think my husband might win. His dad took him and his brother(he was 11 at the time I think) to see Mandingo!!

My dad and your parents would probably get along great  My dad is a big horror movie fan.. I watched "The Shining" and "It" by the time I was in kindergarten.

That movie scared my mom so bad that she ran to the back of the house and had my older brother turn it off. Back then, we didn't have remotes and she was scared to touch the tv. :rotfl2:

My parents permanently scarred my brother for life. When we were quite young, they took us to see "The Elephant Man". To this day he is still freaked out by that movie and actually looks a little terrified in the eyes when you talk to him about it. He is 33 year old, 6'4", former Marine. No need for him to be scared of anything. Except this movie I guess. For his birthday a few years ago, I bought him a DVD of that movie as a joke, he refused to take it home. He didn't want it in his house.

My DH, a policeman of 20+ years ;), is scared of the flying monkeys in, The Wizard of Oz. My DS's have this movie and he refuses to watch it.

I love him to pieces.:lovestruc

Me too, mrsbert! I was scared stiff of those flying monkeys.

Unfortunately my mother was a big fan of science fiction and horror movies and exposed me to them. Still am coming to terms with that! I mean if The Wizard of Oz freaked me out, I had no business being exposed to worse. She never got it.

My big brother let me watch Amityville Horror when I was like 6 and I slept with my parents for a month after, I think my brother was grounded until I went back to my own bed! I didn't go in the basement for years! :lmao:

I remember watching those early 80's Rated R teen flicks when I was around 11-12 too. I clearly remember Last American Virgin and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I can't imagine allowing DD10 to view that stuff right now :scared1:.

Whoever had to view the Exorcist at age 3, I'm sorry:laughing:. I still can't bring myself to watch it. It is the only movie that terrifies me. I remember I slept over a friend's house when I was like 10 and had no idea about the Exorcist. I just remember my grandma always said "It's a bad, bad movie." I could hear my friend's older brothers watching it in the living room and I had nightmares from the audio alone. DH tried to get me to watch it when we were fist married. I watched it, but even at age 27, I was scared for days. Now, DH knows that nobody is allowed to watch the Exorcist in my house.:rolleyes1

My dad took me and my little brother to an art house movie theater to see an Australian film called Walkabout when we were just kids.

It's a movie about a depressed father who takes his children (older daughter, younger son) to the outback, tries to kill them, kills himself, they get away, and go on a walkabout (not that they wanted to) just trying to survive.

Dadddddd, what were you trying to TELL us??????

My dad took me to a midnight showing of Rocky Horror when I was like 12 because I loved the Tme Warp song. :lmao:

My parents took me to the drive in when was 2-3 years old. The first feature was for kids/families. They expected me to sleep through the second movie....What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. Nope, I was watching with them in the back. Scared the crap out of me. It's the one memory I really have at that age.
