LOL.. I've been on this board for a long, long time.. I've seen a lot of threads get locked - or they were "poofed" - over issues they really started out quite innocently.. But carmel vs. candied apples???

I prefer to heat my caramel with the iron. Sure, it gets a little sticky, but anyone using an iron at a value resort shouldn't be expecting it to be sterile anyway, right?
