What went under your dress . . .

I'm not talking about bras, I've got that covered. I'm curious what you ladies have worn, or intend to wear, as far as panties/shorts go.

I have slightly larger thighs and they tend to rub together. To avoid chaffing, I'm looking to get a thin type of form-fitting shorts, maybe that absorb moisture.

I was thinking bicycling shorts, but they can be expensive. Maybe dance shorts?

Any suggestions?

Spanx has this newish product called Skinny Britches that is a lightweight version of their original product. I can't think it provides much shaping, but it would certainly prevent chafing.

No joke, I do it all summer and every time we go to Florida. One of our friends that we went to Florida with introduced me to it...works like a charm. Honestly!

Just use antiperspirant (not deodorant ), this prevents sweating and works great. I also do this all summer, I used to do biker shorts till I discovered antiperspirant works and it's a whole lot cooler!!

deodorant vs. baby powder?

i haven't tried deodorant, but i have tried baby powder on my legs and that helps.

i had a strapless dress and just for the record i wore weird little gummy pastie (sp?) things (to prevent wardrobe malfunctions), a "waist cincher" thing - more like a pull on tube thing, not a lace up deal or hook-in deal AND completely comfortable cotton undies. i did buy new ones and i wasn't concerned about chafing so much (mostly insode, time of the year thing) but my key advice is - WEAR COMFY PANTIES!!!!

get sexy later, if you are a thong girl than work it - but i did not want a wedding wedgie all day long. i had visions of my 7th grade assembly and me absentmindedly yanking up my pantyhose (still underneath my long skirt) while ONSTAGE.

Totally agree with this! A friend told me about it and it works like a charm and less expensive and easier to find than body glide.

I bought sexy underwear for that night, not even sure if I will end up wearing it though! LOL I may be too tired out from a beach wedding, reception, pics around the entire ship then the rest of the day snorkeling at serenity beach....ahhh sounds like a DREAM to me!
