What weeks to avoid in November??

Trying to figure out dates for our Nov trip. What dates to avoid for Veterns Day and School Vacations???

If you are flexible, I would try and avoid the time between Election Day and Veteran's Day. We used to go during this week all the time but it has become increasingly crowded. Thanksgiving is also crowded. I think an ideal time to go would be right after Thanksgiving...and then you can see the holiday decorations as well.

The first week in Nov is usually called Jersey week. All NJ public schools are closed Thurs and Fri (this year Nov 4 & 5) so a lot of us visit WDW. Our school also schedules teacher conferences, add in Election Day, and DS doesn't miss a day of school for a week's vacation. Except for us this year, we couldn't get a good price on airfare, so he's missing 2 days.

I also think the second weekend in Nov is Soap Opera Weekend and that also has fills up the place.

If we could, I would rather wait later in November to see all the Christmas decorations. They usually start decorating beginning of November on a staggered schedule.

went went last thanksgiving and let me just say never again. I feel sorry for people who used strollers because there was no room to push them.

We went during "Jersey Week" last year. The parks didn't seem crowded to us. The only day that seemed busy was Veteran's Day which even then wasn't unbearable. It depends on what you are used to, I guess. We usually go during the spring. To go in November, the crowds seemed so much less and to not see a single line with a wait more than 20 minutes was amazing! Good luck!

Jersey Week only seems to crowd up MK. We've gone twice during that time for the Food & Wine Fest. It's at Ecot and was relatively uncrowded. We had friends, however, that went over to MK and said it was more crowded.

We find the best weeks to be the week before Thanksgiving and the week after Thanksgiving.
