What weekend would you choose to visit for Star wars Weekend?

Using the dates from last year, when would be the best time to visit?

We can't go the 1st weekend. DS is making his 1st Holy Communion May 20. Would you go Memorial Weekend or wait until the beginning of June?

We always go in off-season so this will be by far the most crowded time we've ever been.

Is Star wars weekends worth going to? DS (8) is a huge fan.

I would definately go the weekend AFTER Memorial Day. Memorial weekend will be very crowded. We went the weekend after Memorial this year and it was crowded but manageable. My 11DS is a huge Star Wars fan too and he just absolutely loved it! I would recommend getting to the park when it opens and try to plan some of the things you want to do ahead of time. There were numerous opportunities to meet the Star Wars characters and have pics done, so if you can plan ahead a little maybe do some of those things before it starts to get really hot midday. At least the meeting area for Vader was inside!

There are some rumors on the Star Wars boards that they may move the dates for Star Wars weekends this year. Star Wars Celebration IV is May 24-28th in LA, and rumor has it that they may move SW weekends either earlier to April/May or later to June only to avoid conflicts with Celebration.

We probably won't know for sure until January sometime, but it's something to keep in mind. Since Memorial Day is the same weekend as Celebration I would guess that they won't do anything then since most of the celebrities will be in LA (but that's only a guess).
