We are going on #2 cruise on the Magic, after doing the way too short 3 day Wonder. We are in a quandry trying to decided if the week before Christmas or the first week in December. What would you pick?

This board has been the greatest help!!!!

We did our first (and by no means last) cruise the first week of December and loved it. The weather was beautiful and the ship wasn't too full. I haven't done it the week before Christmas so I can't compare, but I wanted to put in my vote for early December.

We ran alot of dates around our family as we are making ours a family reunion type deal and as we definitely could not afford Christmas week, we chose the week before, which was a steal. We have children in school to consider and figure when we come back they will be on holiday break giving them plenty time to recoup, enjoy the holidays and play catchup on any school work they missed. It is my understanding the ship will be decorated during this time frame which should be beautiful. So it's just a matter of preference as to which works for you. Good luck on your decision :)

First week of December! I've done a cruise that got back on 12/23 and one that got back on 12/15, and the one CLOSE to Christmas made getting ready for the holiday a real challenge! You'll also find better pricing earlier in the month. :)

We went did the Land/Sea last year the 2nd week of December and it was GREAT ! Beautiful weather .. everything was decorated for the Christmas holidays (the parks, the WDW Swan and the Wonder).

I highly recommend the first two weeks of December. All the great fun .. and NOT the holiday price!

Our first cruise was 12/6 and we enjoyed the Christmas decorations, the lower rates and the ship didn't seem crowded at all. The weather was perfect too.

Here's my vote for the first week in December - we had beautiful weather - I think (on the islands) it was mid 80's...

We're cruising on the Disney Magic Nov 30-Dec 7th this year. DH & DSs first cruise. I had my first cruise on NCL last Dec. My return date was the same as this years - Dec 7th.
