We were thinking of going 1/2 Thur and all day Fri. that has been pretty good for us in the past. what do you think?

any bad weekends in Oct? we were thinking the 11th???

:goodvibes

There shouldn't be any "bad" weekdays. Weekends might be crowded but there are no major holidays that significantly boost attendance. Thursday and Friday should be fine. October is one of the slowest months.

Don't forget that thursday Oct 11th is a Mickey's Halloween Party. Get your tickets and enjoy the fun!

Be careful of Columbus Day. That is around October 11 and many school districts have that day off. Crowds get very large on that day.

Be sure to check the calendar for the exact date of Columbus Day, and perhaps some school district calendars for their holiday dates. I recall reading on this board that the Los Angeles School District has Columbus Day off.

I thought there was a holiday around there...we can change the weekend.

what is the Halloween party?

I agree, and a lot of schools in AZ have fall break right around the second week of October!

Also see when Yom Kippur is.. Our school was off that day and we did not know why...
Come to find out the 2nd largest Jewish population is in Los Angeles. So a lot of local school are out that day. Took 35 minutes to park. the drive is usually only 35 minutes.. The security line was past World of Disney.

Stay away from the park that day...

I am hoping that Sapt 24 and 25 isn't that busy becasue that is right near the opening of most schools. I can't wait to see Dl again this time not all decorated for Christmas :)

I think October 11 and 12 might be a very bad choice, at least here in Oregon that Friday will likely be "statewide inservice day" with no school, so a long weekend. I have friends in the midwest with a fall break around then, a week long. Do some more checking before you commit.

The first week in November might be better? We went during the first week in November (avoiding Veteran's Day) and it was very quiet. Plus if you are so inclined you will get to see the Holiday Haunted Mansion.

OK checking my list ( I have been tracking slow/busy days on a spread sheet for the past year) My notes say the following:

OC schools out first 2 weeks of October 1-14th, plan on crowds

Columbus day PACKED

Gay Days 1st or 2nd weekend check the dates.

So IMO I would totally stay away first 2 weeks of October plan on crowds

After the second weekend is over (14th) probably pretty lite during the weekdays. Fri-Sundays always busy.

hope this helps

Yom Kippur/ Rash Hashanah are in Sept not Oct.
