What wedding Favors did you have?

for my shower my moh & bm bought heart shaped cookie cutters & made homemade cookies. it was great for the valentines/paris theme.

for our welcome dinner were having personalized wrappers on ghiradelli chocolate bars. we also put together welcome bag totes with snacks & keepsakes for our traveling guests.

for the wedding reception were having flower bulbs which i bought in bulk online.

18 days until were married at wdw! :bride: :groom:

For our DFTW we got the chocolate Mickey & Minnie bride & groom in milk and dark chocolate wrapped in cello and tied with ribbon in our wedding colors. They were a big hit.

A friend of mine got cut glass champagne flutes at Tuesday Morning (an outlet store here in FL) and filled them with Kisses and wrapped the top of the glass in tulle and tied it off at the stem of the glass, all in her wedding colors, and those were inexpensive and fun.

Another friend got small candles and put some potpourr in tulle, the candle in the center, wrapped it up and tied it with ribbon with their names and wedding date.

Others I've been to did chocolates individually wrapped with their names and the date and those were pretty.

There are so many options! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding :goodvibes

I thought the custom m&m's were reasonable...considering how darn cute they were!!

you can select your wedding colors, and put up to two lines of text on the candies. And sometimes they have "specials". They also have some "standard" wedding options.

They were all pre-packaged in the little bags and you can even pick a color of the ribbon.

here's the ones we got:

We did wine glasses. I got the ones with etched Mickey heads on them, from World of Disney. I belive they were like $6 each. We used them for our toast at the reception, then everyone got to keep them.

Yeah...it was a bit confusing!!

We were "legally" married at a courthouse here at home on 9/16 and then we had our "REAL" wedding at Disney on 9/20. :goodvibes

My parents and brother and sister-in-law could not make the Disney wedding, and we had already decided to do the courthouse thing (it was cheaper than getting a Florida license) so my family traveled to join us for our courthouse wedding...and my Mom was weirded out about the whole "2 weddings" thing, so to make HER happy, I put the 9/16 date on the m&m's!

Are you sorry you asked now?! ;) :rotfl2:

Ok works for me. I was thinking either this lady doesn't know what day she got married, typed it wrong or got married twice. Glad to hear that it was to the same guy. LOL

:rotfl2: I was wondering the same thing!

That makes total sense, hiwaygal and it's always good that you make your mom happy ;)

Or maybe a spoiled brat BRIDEZILLA who wanted to extend that wedding magic as LOOOOONG as possible! ;) (I wasn't really that bad!)

Later, Mom asked what day we were actually going to celebrate...and we immediately answered that we would celebrate from the 16th to the 20th!! :cool1:

Yankee Candle's votive candles can make wonderful favors. You can get the company to print your own personal label with your names, wedding dates, etc., put it in tulle, tie it up with a ribbon and add a rosebud, all in the colors for your wedding. If you need to save money, you can just order the votives and add extra things yourself. They smell so wonderful and you can get them in all different flavors/colors, so they make wonderful gifts for your guests. :sunny:

those are awesome chocolates d&rlovedisney!

I agree! Those are the coolest! Did you make them yourselves or did you find somewhere that will make them for you?

what is your definition of "non-expensive"...?

just trying to figure it out! :)

I am a sucker for CHEAP WEDDING STUFF!!!

Here's what I did:

I bought Lindt Truffles in a huge bag of 40, 3 varietys. They were like $35 total or something.

Then I went to Joann's and bought little paper bags in my wedding colors (pink & black bags) for about $3 for 30.

I had stickers made by myownlabels.com that were pretty and stuck 'em on the bags. EVERYONE LOVED our favors! We had so many varieties that it was actually an ice breaker so people were trading their truffle flavors. Really cute stuff. I also put some Jordan almonds in the bags too, which are amazingly good!

My EM gave me a list of the different chocolate favors available to us. We picked those. I think they were around $4.00 each. I only needed 15 and they were a big hit!
