What weather should we expect in December?

Hello all,

My family and I are planning a trip around Christamas and was wondering what the weather will be like. Do you think it will be rougly the same as UK or a little better?

I'm afraid the answer is - same as the UK or colder!!! To be honest, I've experienced most sorts of winter weather at DLP - so the trick is to be very prepared, with hats, gloves and the all important thermals, and then you'll be fine.

We went to Paris this year in February and were expecting roughly the same weather as England.
Boy were we wrong! It was below freezing every day and the nighttimes were bitterly cold! We talked to some of the Parisians and they said their winters are a lot colder then England. Especially in December and January. Sorry!
Take hats, gloves, scarves and lots of layers! I wore tights under my jeans. I was very tempted by a pair of skiing trousers (until I saw the price! )

But DLP is gorgeous in the cold. The lake in front of the Newport Bay, Sequoia Lodge etc. freezes and you can ice skate outside of Hotel New York.
