What we haven't been to disney since 2003 pretrip plans

Yeah that's right me and now DH have not been to Disney since 2003 so I decided last year along with planning a wedding I would plan a trip to Disney..

So first let me give you the cast

Me-Nicole the queen of travel. grew up 1 hr away from the world as a child and have been going yearly up to year 2003. Then life all of a sudden took a turn away from going.

DH- John my loves to travel but hates to plan anything (just do what you want) husband.

Mom-My mother loves to go on anytrip that gets her away from taking care of people she is a home health aide and cares for the sick on a daily basis.

So when are we going and where are we staying you ask

Well as i said I was planning our wedding and originally we thought how about a Disneymoon. Our wedding was June 21 so I thought that might be a great time. But as soon as I started talking Disney mom says oh I want to come. Well not what I had in mind for a honeymoon. So how could I plan a trip to Disney without her, so we decided to go to Jamaica for our honeymoon and do Disney with her. So her Vacation was Sept. So around april I start calling WDW for prices and packages. I get a lovely agent that informs me that they are offering free dinining with any Magic your way package so what type of hotel are you looking at, well we had some starwood points saved maybe we could do Swan. Not a problem. I cash in some points get 3 nights free and free dininig to boot!!! So we are off September 6-13th staying at the swan. First time there can't wait to check it out.

So dining plans were next on our agenda. I knew I could book 180 days ahead that put me in the June time frame to start calling for ressies.

We fly in on Sat afternoon so we are not big eaters on fly days as i call them so we figured we could eat at Downtown Disney or even ESPN zone since we are so close. So the first res i made was for Japan Teppan Edo dinner we love the habatchi thing.

Then Mon i made ressie for Fatasmic Dining so we eating at Mama Melrose and Fatasmic that night.

Then I love La Nouba so I got tickets for the Tue show so we will eat Downtown Disney that night, right now i'a, thinking Bongos we love that place.

And other nights we have Tutto Italiana, and San Angel Inn. we mostly like epcot ressies at night we will do all counter service during the day.

We are doing 1 day at Sea World and 1 at Universal so I made Buffet ressies for Crystal palace one night and we love the Cape May seafood Buffet over at the beach club. So that's all our dining in a nutshell.

So today I thought I would do a little research for my counterservices at the parks tht we will be doing during our stay. I know when we are at DHS we will be there all day since we are doing Fatasmic with the dining at Mama Melrose so I was thinking of trying to stay away from the Italian thing since that will be for dinner so I been looking at the menus here on the boards!

Thought I would keep everyone posted!!

So I started my exercise routine to get me ready for treking around the world . I walked at the gym for 1hr and joined a body sculpting class, boy my body is killing me..But I will keep going for the next couple of weeks. I did it 1 month before my wedding too.. It helped keep me sain while I was planning. I also go our LA Noubra tickets today!!! I am so happy. Last year in vegas we saw O and Love, those were the really good shows, I'am hoping today I can finally pinpoint the rest of the counter services I want to do. I think we might try Yak and Yeti for the day in AK. I have seen some of the reviews and pictures and it looks good. So thats my report today..

So this week I worked on making some more Adr's for breakfast.

Since were staying at swan I wanted to keep it simple since Mom does not like to travel all over the place just to eat.. I could't talk her in to Chef Mickeys for character breakfast. So I made a ADR for Cape May for breakfast.

I also made way in the hunt for one more table service dinner. I made ressie for Fulton Crab House for dinner for the night we are going to Sea World since we usually finish sea world by 6. So I decided we would head DTD to shop and dine.

I can't believe its almost here. I have been planning this since the beginning of the year and by almost 4 weeks it will be here!!!

So I woke up today and looked and noticed we have 8 days to go... So of course I start to panic that I am forgetting something. I think I have covered all the bases like food room tickets so what I'am worried about. I think I do this everytime we travel, last time was our honeymoon and we got to Jamaica and I realized I forgot the camera..lol of course they sell them so we bought a cheap disposable one. So I should just chill anything I forget at home I'am sure I can buy. Then yesterday sister-inlaw informs us that DH's mom might need a bypass so today she is going for a stress test. Hopefully they will schedule it after we get home. I guess she has a small blockage so they might not even do it, and her age is a factor and she has dementia. Well thats all for today. I hope to do another report before I leave. After I come back I plan a completed trip report with pictures....

So today I noticed TS Hannah has now changed to Hurricane Hannah, and there is also TS Ike. Oh boy... I know alot can happen between now and Sat but I'am hoping they fizzle out. Living in Orlando years ago I know the Orlando area just gets the rain and wind, but I'am more worried about the flying in and out.. So I guess I will continue the watch on the storms and hope for the best.

So I'am off tommorow first thing in the AM. I arrive in MCO around 11:00 so far we are planning a quick trip to see our friends who live about 20 mins from the world. They might come back to hotel with us and eat dinner, then we kick them out so we can go to bed. We have a 7:40 Breakfast ressie at Cape May.. Then off to Epcot... Yeah can't wait. I promise lots of pics and I will do a trip report when I get home.
