This is a spin-off of the other souveneir thread. What do you keep seeing at WDW that you really want, but just haven't been able to justify getting?

I want a set of those hand-carved wooden chimes from Africa. They're not hideously expensive ($50-$70, if I remember correctly) but more then I'm willing to spend. I will get them someday, though.

What are you waiting to splurge on?

Fun question
I always wanted one of those personalized watches they sell on Main Street in MK - I think you can pick the picture and the artist draws it for you.

2 years ago, I splurged on a black leather Mickey motorcycle jacket ($350 bucks. ouch) I had just purchased a new motorcycle and it just seemed like karma when I saw the jacket in MGM. My DH has put me on souveneir punishment since then. :teeth:

Oh I agree...I would LOVE to be a part of the DVC!!! Unitl then.... I can totally justify spending money on WDW jewelry and snowglobes!!!!!

I love all the fun jewelry they make I have a couple watches but just cant seem to get to buy myself the rings especially.

I did treat myself to DVC as my divorce present to myself last year. Kinda somber but yet an inspiring new life!!! Wouldn't trade that deal for the world.

Where I have no other real vises .I useally justify My and DD's needs as just that Needs .

My last was the PotC vovlo ocean race Jacket.

DD thinks shes getting a table of Tink from the Art of Disney at DTD on our June trip .I just don't think she has room for it.Look at her Room in my SIG and you will see just a peice of it.

Now also I have never had a problem with any of my purchases that Disney hasn't corrected. The Quaility is very good.

We've already splurged on the Giuseppe Armani "Belle" figurine (bought it in '04). DH now wants to buy the Armani "Lady" and "Malificent" figurines, but money is tight right now and it will have to wait another year or two (or three...). Those suckers are expensive. I wasn't at the counter when the CM was ringing up DH when getting "Belle" but he said when he asked to purchase it, the CM gave him a funny look and said "Sir, you do know that it's $XXX.xx, right?" DH said "Yes, and we'll need it shiped". He said the look on her face was priceless. DH isn't much of a dresser, you see, and to look at him you'd think he didn't have two nickles to rub together!

Here's "Belle", the one we have

We splurged last time and got the large figurine of Jack Skellington. Dh is a hug NMBC fan and kept talking about it all the way to the parking lot so I said "go back and get that thing because I don't want to hear about it all the way till the next trip!" :rotfl2: He loves it!

One of the electric monorail sets to put under my Christmas tree.... :yay:

I have one of those :thumbsup2 Every once in a while I will here it late at night and DD says it's her whitenoise to help her sleep :lmao:

Check out her TINK ROOM in my SIG.

Almost all the art in the galleries. I just love most all of the characters and one day (when we get our house) I want to splurge on some of those items.

Skagen Mickey Mouse watch.

Gonna get it this year! :cool1:

I got one of those on our last trip--I love it!

There is a little store down the way from Columbia house- closer to the castle(right by where they paint the umbrellas for little girls- so cute by the way my dd still loves hers 3 years later) They sell Christmas stuff - but last year I saw it! It is kind of like one of the Christmas Village sets- but a muted upscale version. They had the castle and it was just beautiful! Some day :cloud9:

Me, too! :thumbsup2 I guess there are a lot of us that like those Skagen Mickey watches! I bought the brown one with the brownish crystals. I really liked the red Minnie watch and would have bought that one, if it had been Mickey instead of Minnie. My purchase was an impulse buy - I spotted it at the Grand Floridian gift shop and while I was able to walk away from it for a while, by the end of the day I had spotted it in the jewelry shop at the MK and I figured it was meant to be - I just had to have it! :rotfl2:

I also have the 14kt/cz Mickey earrings & the matching ring that were each purchased on previous trips. I wear the earrings all of the time but the ring has never fit and I've decided I don't care much for it. Too bad I didn't walk away from that $200+ purchase. One of these days, it will be for sale on Ebay.

One thing I've always wanted since I first saw them was one of the Mickey 14kt rings with genuine sapphires. Those run about $450+tax, I think. One of these days I'll come up with a reason to justify spending that kind of money on a ring that is probably worth about $50 - but costs ten times that amount because it is in the shape of Mickey's head. :teeth:

I love Disney Princess Armani figurines. I have the Cinderella one and Briar Rose. However I bought them on ebay from a reputable dealer since I was able to get them for almost 1/2 price than what they sell them at Disney World etc. I am planning on adding the Belle one to my collection as it looks just beautiful but I haven't seen that one in person yet so waiting to look at it at Disney before buying it. I also collect the WDCC figurines as well. I always look at them at the Art of Disney Store then buy them on ebay.

Those always catch my eye. Thanks for the reminder. I think I'll ask for that for Christmas, since I can't ever think of anything I want. I do want one of those. :)

The one souvie I look at every time but haven't bought, is the coat of arms in the UK Pavilion in Epcot. I'd like to have one for both my DH & my family names.
