On a recent trip we watched the Muppett 3D, one of the first shows we saw on our original family trip. Since we have enjoyed Mickey's Philharmagic...quite a difference. Made me think - what attraction (could be rides, shows, or even resort I guess) would you nominate to the Imagineers for an "Extreme Makevoer-Disney style?

Since "Dis"ers are some of the most experieced and savy of Disney travelers, what would you do if you were the Makeover team leader and why?

Muppets 3D would certainly not be on my list..... I LOVE that ride.

For me it would be Tomorrowland Transit Authority. The TTA goes along a nice path which is cool, but those cars could use an updated look IMHO.

Stitch's Great Escape - awful ride. Needs a total demolishment.

I would do something with the Tommorrowland Speedway or move it to Frontierland :earseek:

I think they did The Great Movie Ride about a year ago!

Tiki Birds...I liked the original. Also, get rid of Iago and Zazu. The story stinks, and the ending is awful. What a shame what they did to Walts birds... :sad2:

Snow White is my 1st place choice. Too scary for toddlers and just plain unintersting for adults. Wouldn't it be nice to go through the Dwarf's house along the lines of Mickey and Minnies house in Toontown? There is so much room for improvement it is hard to believe it is a Disney ride. With its location right in the middle of Fantasyland it really needs a complete overhaul.

I also vote for Tomorrowland Speedway. The line takes forever and the small kids that would enjoy it the most can't reach the pedals. Our local mom and pop Amusement Park has a better car ride.

I agree with Tomorrowland Speedway. Perhaps they could make it so that you actually race each other or at least you think you are. I also think Country Bears and Jungle Cruise both need major updating. The Country Bears was so slow and I think the music and whole show needs to be updated. The Jungle Cruise needs some updating; but it's the "tour guide" that makes the experience what it is. Last years, our Jungle guide was Fanastic! As we were going into the Cave thingy, he started singing the song from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory that Willy Wonka sings when they go into the tunnel.. "... Knowing where we're going..." Every adult on the cruise LOVED it...
Personally, I love Tom Sawyer Island as is. It's quiet place to relax and let the kids play. I Hate that stupid barrel bridge- it gives me the creeps.. :earsgirl:

Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. Fun the first 3 times, now it's a bore (how many times can I laugh at the Hawaiian shirt "volunteer picked from the audience"). Plus, now that there's going to be another stunt show, make it over into an Indy ride like Disneyland.

COP rehabed and updated, which would mean it would be around for many more years. If they don't rehab and update I think they may close it in near future. That I would hate to see. :goodvibes :wave2:

Magic Kingdom
I would redo the ride TTA and possibly add some sister/brother rides to it that take tours of ALL the sections of the Magic Kingdom. In addition to newer looking cars, make the sounds in surround sound to just add something to it. I love the ride, one of my absolute favorites in the Magic Kingdom and THE most creative ride out of any theme park in the country. There could also be an interactive option to ride the trains out of the area where you are to different lands.. Just to be a really cool idea for when your tired and lines are long or even when its raining.

Epcot
Spaceship Earth is one of the best rides there but it needs some retweaking. First off, I would instead put further spacing on the ride or have a way to move tracks off the track for easier access to those who are handicap and the ride won't stop. Also, put some better lubrication and new fittings (possibly some type of rubber) to stop the noises on the track. Also the animatronics could use a bit of a touch up.

MGM Studios
Tower of Terror. This may seem weird to people but I think that the storyline was screwed up when they released the random drop. In an elevator, if the cord breaks, you're going to fall down. There will be nothing to bouce you back up. I also think there needs to be a slower rise because an elevator doesn't ride that fast.

Animal Kingdom
I loved It's Tough to Be A Bug but it needs to get some updates and have more interaction. I do like the attraction itself though and the tree its in is simply amazing.

Jungle Cruise needs a good renovation.

Universe of Energy needs a complete overhaul.

MK - Tom Sawyer Island and Swiss Family Treehouse - I don't even bother going to them anymore.

MGM - Indiana Jones

AK - Dinosaur - too jerky

EPCOT - Universe of Energy

Don't know where you live but is your local Amusement Park Knoebels? We've been there a couple of times!

I love WDW just the way it is, but if I could change things here is what I would do:

Peter Pan - just seems old and boring to me, my kids have even lost interest

Snow White - too boring for adults, too scary for kids

Jungle Cruise - please change the jokes, "inspiration falls", etc...

COP - add more decades

Speedway - is there anyway this could smell better??? :rotfl:

Space Mountain - I'd love to see this turned into a smooth modern roller coaster ride like RnR. It's too jerky and old fashioned

Star Tours - out of date, boring, too jerky

Great Movie Ride - update final film as you are exiting the ride

Backlot tour - my least favorite attraction at WDW

Journey into Imagination - take out the smelly part!!!

That's all for now.... ;)
