Ours was "It Had To Be You" by Harry Connick, Jr. from When Harry Met Sally

The movie is pretty much on the story of us!! DH proposed at the end of the movie while the song was playing!

Ours is "Almost Paradise" the love theme from the movie "Footloose".

We always feel like we're knocking on heaven's door so the song was perfect for us.


We've been married 17 years. Hubby is my high school sweetheart.

DH and I eloped, so we didn't have a wedding song. However (if it's okay w/ you, dvcfamily) I will share our song...it's Please Forgive Me, by Brian Adams. Only because DH used to sing it to me, messing up all the words. Something like, "Please Forgive Me, I don't da da do."

We closed out the reception with AMAZED - Lonestar.

But 'our song' is TAKING YOU HOME - Don Henley.

A close second favorite would be BUTTERCUP - The Foundations....because DH sings this to me...under my window...for the entire world to hear. I'm never sure whether to laugh or cry.

"I Do" by Paul Brandt - it's a country song, but a dear friend sang it uncountry-like for our wedding and it was wonderful.
I met DH online and used to watch the Country Music Channel late at night while chatting with him. That song just struck the perfect chord for me...and felt perfect for our wedding.
