What was your very first car?

A 70-something Ford Granada around 1987. It was silver, repainted a charcoal gray, by the previous owner, with red vinyl interior. It looked nice until I clipped a utility pole. My brother replaced the fender with a black one and I never liked the car after that. I traded "up" to a Chevy Citation that was passed on to my cousin as her first car.

Honda Accord. Loved it. We have had 3 since the first one.

My first car was a '98 Chevy Prism, which was basically a Corolla with a Chevy logo on it.

It was a great car. Great gas mileage, and I never had a problem with it. Until June 16, 2004, when a new-model Chevy Avalanche ran into the back of it a 40mph. My poor little car just couldn't handle it!

RIP, little Prism! I know you're on that great interstate in the sky, now.

1993 Gray/Blueish Ford Taurus
1996 Tan Mercury Mystique

Had nothing but trouble with both of these Ford cars and will never willingly buy a Ford anything! I have since moved onto nissans and have had no problems what-so-ever with the 2 we currently own.

.Mine was a baby blue 1984 Nissan Pulsar. I LOVED that car, it had a sunroof it was so cute. I think I only had it about 8 months and I totaled it :( It really didnt hold up well in an accident

My first car is the one I have now. It's a 1994 Honda Accord, and it was my dad's car. When I got my license 3 years ago, my dad gave it to me after he bought a new car.

An AMC Hornet. HATED that car!
Me too. Interesting vehicle. Rusted doors and floors. Picky about starting. One door only opened from the outside, the other from the inside. But it was free.

I had a 69 green cutlass. It was really a heap, but it got me where I needed to be!

A 1985 Buick Regal. I remember one very cold winter and my mom and dad's Japanese cars wouldn't start, my dad went outside to the Buick and it started right up! I bought the car from my dad and paid for it in cash!

'75 Dodge Dart in a tan color :bored:

Not my favorite:rolleyes: but it was my first. The catalytic converter smelled like bad sauerkraut. You had to be there!

1977 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser station wagon. A car with character ;)

My first car was a pinto! I bought it used and it had a hatchback. I loved it. No one told me it might blow up. I had to put bags of gravel and sand in it in the winter to get enough traction on the ice. Then I bought a Maverick - brand new! I think it was $4000. Someone ran into it (on a icy road and they were not even driving a pinto) so then I got a Mustang - picked out the color - sort of a copper and all the features. I loved it except everytime it rained and the temperature was between 35 and 40 degrees something would happen to it - the gas would just go through the motor and then it would stop. It would use about a gallon for every 2 miles, so then I'd let it sit for 15 minutes, find a gas station quickly and go on my way. They could never figure out how to fix it. It died with only about 70,000 miles on it. Oh the memories! I too have lots of "car stories" including having 2 cars break down trying to get my husband to a hospital for emergency surgery in a blizzard. Long story - but the surgery was successful! (Same thing happened to him 2 years ago when we were on vacation and the gas pedal in our Nissan van kept sticking - knew I should have had that looked at before we left) Again the surgery was successful and I think I've finally learned my lesson to have everything checked out before traveling.
