What was your teens favorite gift?

DD14 was really happy with her

* new camera
* a nice wallet filled with lots of small gift cards & a some money
* a jewelry armoire with jewelry in it
* a smash book with accessories

Good luck!

We are buying a new home in 10 days and we wanted to make my DD13's new room special so she got a new TV and stereo system for Christmas.

DD14: Intuos5 medium drawing tablet w/sketch and animation software, wii u, drawing pencils, sketch pads and skylanders.

I was so relieved to find DD14 thrilled with 2 items she didn't ask for (but I really wanted to get her):

new amp with effects for her electric guitar
full size, weighted key, digital piano

She can hardly keep her hands off either of them! We pump soooo much money into music lessons for this kid, it is nice to see her practicing so much! Sometimes I guess you need the right tools for the job! She already had a keyboard and 2 guitars (not to mention all the gear for her singing) but the piano upgrade and "toys" for the guitar really made her happier than I can even describe! I don't know if she really didn't realize she wanted this stuff or just didn't want to ask us for it, but I am very happy with the outcome!

My DD14 was happy with her Nook HD and the Hoodies she got. She did not ask for anything for Christmas so I am happy that she loved what I chose.

DD13 loooooved the 2 dinosaur hoodies I made her, one solid black for school one with different colored spikes for outside of school. Thank goodness, took me about 12 hours to make them (hand sewn each spike then had to hand sew the spikes onto the non school one). I've NEVER gotten the super happy excited face before, it felt so good to get it for something I made!

I'm sixteen, and my favorite gifts this year were Eeyore pajamas and the box set of Gilmore Girls :love:

Want to hear something hilariously ironic.... I'm currently snugged up in my Eeyore pjs (have to be from hs, but I love them) watching the reruns of Gilmore Girls on Soap Net (The one where Lorelei and Max get back together!) I LOVE Gilmore girls (yes I'm 27 and I have an addiction!!) and DVR both ABCFamily and SoapNet!

For my daughter (13) it was a toss up between a camera she had wanted and the wallet I bought her that was filled with 300.00 worth of gift cards to all her favorites stores and places in the mall to eat and movie gift cards! So now when she gets dropped off at the mall with her friends she can shop!

Op here. My mom got my DD a rebate visa that had her name on it (DD's) and prepaid for 50.00 and she thought this was awesome in her VB wristlet she got. You guys have given me some great ideas. Thanks for the input. DD did very well this christmas and having a birthday so close is hard. I ended up calling the Pittsburgh Glass Institute today and signed her up for a 2 hour hot class blowing class. I figured an experience would be cool, she always seems to remember stuff she does vs. stuff she got and am taking her to melting pot for her bday dinner. Very fun to read what all the teens got though and made me feel good that I did pretty well picking her stuff out b/c she asked for nothing just "surprise me".:crazy2:

Love the glass blowing idea, that's so unique!
