What was your shortest WDW trip and what did you do?

I'm doing a three night / two day stay in October. It's just me and DS who is a picky eater. DH isn't coming for this one. Staying at the Renaissance across from Sea World rather than at a Disney resort for this one (doing a SeaWorld package). I love Disney resorts, but that's not what we are picking on this one.

Sat. -- Sea World day / relax at resort in evening

Sun. -- Hitting some Epcot future world attractions at rope drop / will be at the park till noon // Next having lunch (great looking restaurant with dining right by the pool) and swim / hot tub time (for about an hour) at our resort // around 3:30 p.m. we'll be at the Titanic attraction on I drive. It's a 90 minute attraction for us. (DS is really big into Titanic history, so this is a top choice for him) // At 7 p.m. we have a dinner reservation back at Disney -- eating at the Yacht (Captain's Grill) so I can park there // After dinner we'll go back to Epcot to see Illuminations by the far end of the world showcases // After Illuminatons we'll head back to our car -- should be better heading back to the Yacht club than to the Epcot parking lot after the show.

Sunday is a little crazy with Disney park, pool time, and Titanic, but it's what we want to do. No crazier from going to attraction to attraction in a place like Washington D.C.

This will be my 25th trip. Most of my trips have been a week in length. This will be my third two day / three night one. Actually I really love these short little trips. They are really a blast.

Our shortest was 3 nights in 2011 for our first anniversary. We went sort of last minute for the weekend.

Day 1: Flew in early AM and checked in - Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
Day 2: Epcot/ Magic Kingdom - MK had EMH 'til 2am or something crazy like that, we only made it 'til midnight
Day 3: Islands of Adventure/Universal
Day 4: Flight Home

It was nice just to be there, but I felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation because it was go, go, go. We find it hard to eliminate parks because we like them all, so we crammed them in. Also managed to eat a lot of good meals too, I'm not sure how we did it and I'm tired just thinking about it.

Shortest trip was this past April/May, 4 nights for a quickie trip for DH's bday. We flew in early and flew back out late, so we were able to hit all 4 parks. We only planned the trip out about 7 weeks in advance. We stayed one night with our DVC points and then stayed the other 3 nights at CSR. Normally we go for at least a week to 10 days minimum and our trips are planned out far in advance, but that trip was more of a spontaneous one. Unfortunately I needed to be back or we would have stayed longer. Short trip or not, it was just the two of us and it was WDW! :cool1:

have done 2 - 4 night / 4 day disney trips

One over Memorial Weekend - flew in late on Thursday night - went to MK, Epcot, HS and then Memorial Day went to AK and flew out around 6:30.

Another time flew in late on Wednesday night went to MK - MNSSHP, Epcot, AK and HS and flew out Sunday evening (HS day).

DH and I usually went for 9 or 10 days. That left us time for 6 park days (Epcot and MK twice each) and rest days. I thought 10 was perfect.

My shortest, other than a day trip to the Magic Kingdom many years ago, was the one just past. I was with DD, DSiL and 13 mo. old DGS and that was only 4 days, 5 nights. We did MK and Epcot and I visited a friend one day and watched DGS one day. This did not satisfy my need for Disney and within 8 days of returning, I booked the next one - less than 4 months later.

3 nights.... Flew in late Friday, spent Saturday at all 4 parks (quite a challenge), Sunday touring resorts to see Xmas decorations and went to MVMCP, Monday flew home!

One of my favourite trips yet... Booked it on a spur of the moment the day before we were to leave :goodvibes

I'm always surprised to see such long WDW vacations. But, for me, being anywhere for more than a week makes me miss my home and my bed so much! Plus, with a dog & a cat at home, it can be costly to board them, and inconvenient for family to watch after them for an extended period of time. I figure some Disney is always better than no Disney! :-)

Our last trip was 5 nights/6 days with DDs 2 & 4.
Day 1 - resort day
Day 2 - EPCOT
Day 3 - MK
Day 4 - DHS
Day 5 - AK
Day 6 - EPCOT
We tried to "do it all", and while we had fun, we learned where we needed to make adjustments for next time.

For 2014 we are doing 5 nights/6 days again, but are eliminating AK, and will do DHS on our arrival afternoon (just need to see Beauty & The Beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid & Disney Junior). The rest of the days will alternate between MK and EPCOT.

Usually stay 5 - 7 nights, but the shortest was 2 nights at CSR. It was a Mother / daughter trip to get away from Canada's winter for a weekend. WE went to MK and Epcot parkhopping between both. With travel days we only really had one day there.

It was last minute flights and lots of fun! CSR has had a warm place in my heart ever since. It was so beautiful!

Boyfriend and I did 3 days/2 nights in January 2013

Day 1: flight arrived around 9am - checked in at AKL - went straight to AK for the day - went back to room and freshened up before heading to CR for a 5:45 reservation at the Cali Grill - after dinner went over to MK for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes - Electric Water Pageant at GF - Downtown Disney

Day 2: MK at rope drop - 10:30am breakfast reservation at OHana - back to MK till early afternoon - over to Epcot for some drinking/eating around the World Showcase - Illuminations - back to AKL

Day 3: 8am Breakfast reservation at Boma - Hollywood Studios for the day - Back to Airport at 4pm

We rode all the big time rides and a lot of the smaller rides thanks to FP - didn't miss much. We had stopped at a ticket counter on our second evening to add an extra day to our tickets and the CM commented on how much we had accomplished in just a short time.

We ONLY do short trips (2 or 3 nights). We live close by and hate to board our dogs, one of whom is geriatric, for long. Obviously we can't do everything on short trips, so we decide what parks/attractions we're going to focus on and know that we'll be able to do other things on later trips. Our most recent trip, we stayed at YC and only went to Epcot. Our next trip will be to WL and we'll focus on MK. We have a very mellow approach to our Disney trips, so this works well for us.

I always see people who go for like 14 days! And I know I've read people who have gone like, 4 or 5 days. For those of you who have taken a shorter trip, what did you do each day?

We usually go for 1-2 weeks but I did go once only for a day. It was spring break; a group of us went to Ft. Lauderdale, from NYC, and we rented a car and drove to MK for the day. We managed to get in everything including a parade and fireworks. We left our hotel very, very early in the morning and got back very, very late- but we were very, very young! We even ran into some other college friends when we were there!
Now- if I were to oh only for 2-3 days, I'd go to MK all day, EPCOT all day and 1/2 day at AK and HS taking advantage of extra magic hours at each park. There wouldn't be much time to sleep and eating would be quick and while moving!

I've done several 3/4 day trips and they have been tons of fun.

Each trip had a main "focus" to it. I did MK's 40th birthday, MNSSHP, and F&W as different trips. I always go to MK and EP and try to make it to HS. I do skip AK on the shorter trips.

I've found the short trips to be totally worth it in every way!

End of this month I'm going for a 3 night solo stay at the GF. Just going to spend a few days at the MK and pool.

The shortest I have done was 7 nights and 6 days. I did one park per day for the first 4 days, AK/HS day 5 and Epcot/MK day 6.

Our shortest was one night at POR and one day at MK. We drove down (8 hr drive), arrived at POR at 2pm, went to pool, had intended to do dinner at DTD (take the boat from POR) but a thunderstorm rolled in, the boat closed. We decided to stay at POR and have dinner. Next morning woke up and went to MK for the day.

Then drove to our SW resort for the rest of the week. We went to SW an BG.
