So what was your daily schedule in the program, and what was your role? From morning, till night, what was your schedule like? Where did you eat breakfast ,lunch, and dinner? Where did you hangout?

Alright,

What would it be like for a Culinary CP?

Your question is far too broad for us to answer. Our schedules change every single day and are mostly reliant on our work locations and what park we are placed in. Your role also plays a large part in what hours you are scheduled. I work at Emporium in Magic Kingdom, this means I often don't go to work until 6-8 PM at night and I work until 2-4 AM in the morning. My hours are some of the latest possible and but I can work earlier hours, never morning shifts.

As for where eating breakfast lunch or dinner, I suggest no matter where you work, you bring lunch or breakfast from home. I live off snacks mostly and cook at home. As for hang out, that depends on your schedule. Most CPs go to the parks as it is free. It does cost money, but they're easily accessible. Publix and nearby places also depend on which housing complex you live in. I usually walk to Publix on my day off and go to to the park or Downtown Disney on my days off.

I was a vacation planner at the TTC. I usually had Tuesdays and Wednesdays off with morning shifts. For "breakfast" I normally picked up something quick when I got to work, same for lunch. As for dinner, I lived in vista so I'd walk over to Wendy's or chik-fil-a or make something small, I had a car so going to Wal-mart or Publix was easy.

Off days I'd lounge at the pool or head to the parks with my roommates or some other friends.

If you want an hourly account of my actions, speak to my lawyer :)

It really varies a lot from week to week. This week I have 42 hours and all late night shifts and next week I have 45 hours and all mid day shifts.

CPs main function is to cover shifts when the regular FT and CR cast are on vaca. My earliest shift started at 5:30AM - my latest shift ended at 1:00AM. The only regular things I had was SUN/MON shifts were 10:30-7:00, a FTer had the shift Tue-Sat; and I was always off on WED because of my CP classes.

That's not true. CP fill holes in the schedule that were not filled by the F/T bids.

I had a pretty regular schedule of either 3pm-9pm or 5pm-11pm sometimes I was in as early as noon if I was working a full 8 hour day. I always had Sunday and Monday off in the beginning and then due to classes was switched to Monday and Tuesday off. Everyone in my department had pretty consistent schedule as well.

CPs are at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to scheduling. There are spots designated specifically for CPs in each locations head count. True they often get the less desirable shifts, but their purpose is not to fill holes.

It's slightly different in Disneyland because you're given 3 years of seniority there.

Yup, not to mention union dues are taken out of your paychecks, still don't quite understand that. WDW cast members can't join the union but still get their protection.

By fill holes I meant that if a F/T did want to only ever park clear EPCOT they could bid for that schedule in my attraction. If they were to be granted that it would mean a CP would have to be put in an opening or mid shift and not the closing. I didn't mean it as the bid determined how many were hired. No one ever wants park clear so of course it is all CP and occasionally seasonal and p/t.

I had Monday & Tuesdays off. I worked Fantasyland attractions. I normally worked 12-8. I walked up to Chickfila & Wendys sometimes or just ate cereal or something easy because I was POOR :) Normally just hung out @ parks on my days off w/ other ppl who were off too.
