What was your most unusual Disney souvenir?

Lets see we went to Disney World for our Honeymoon and exactly 9 months to the day we had our son! But it could have had something to do with the second souvenir it was a horrible ugly monkey head cup you purchased at Pleasure Island and then you could get a mighty powerful adult beverage for only a few dollars when you brought it back. Kinda like the resort mugs but adult version.:rotfl:

Hmm our son arrived 9 months after Disney too!!! :-) We also had wicked cocktails at Pleasure Island though none in a monkey cup! LOL!!

My favorite souvenir is my bathrobe from the Disney Institute. I loved the DI and am sad that it's gone. I took a photo class there years ago and saw the robe while browsing in the gift shop. It was expensive so I didn't act immediately but on our last day as we headed out to the airport I decided I had to have it. It was a good investment, it's probably been at least 8 or 9 years and it's still good as new. I also have a DI t-shirt that I "baby" so it doesn't wear out...LOL. Just wish I had a souvenir from River Country!

I have the same robe. I agree it was pricey but still is like new. I also have a Disney Institute sweatshirt I love to wear on those cold winter nights.

I have a Tower of Terror mug with two red handles... it's from when ToT added ANOTHER drop (thus two) back in the day.

I'll never forget my mom (I was about 16 or so at the time) surprising me with it, it was filled with frozen Coke.

I have a giant gold key with Cinderella's castle on it. It looks like an oversized skeleton key. I have it hanging off of one of the drawer handles on my bureau. My kids are convinced that cinderella gave me the key to her castle on the last trip down there with my husband.

They now want to bring it in Nov to get into the castle.....
Hmm, going to have to forget the key by mistake on the that trip lol :rolleyes

DD 6 souvenier of our 20th anniversary!

But also, small rubber mickey mouse figurine we bought because (same) DD at 11 months wouldn't stop biting My PAL Mickeys nose.

A donald duck wet paint sign from All Star sports. The maintance guys gave it to us, when they were finish painting. Steve

We've taken to making collections of usable items--nary a mouse in sight!

The first was a Murano vase from the gift shop in Italy/Epcot. Each of the next five visits included another similar vase, but these were from Arribas Brothers, either Downtown Disney or the Magic Kingdom.

Next we tried the pick-a-pearl at Japan/Epcot. Hooked. Have earrings for myself, sister-in-law, niece and working on making sure each of us have both yellow and white gold earrings and a necklace pendant to match. That ought to take a few years.

And my personal favorite, though we go several times a year, for the trip closest to our wedding anniversary, hubbie "forces" me to pick a piece of jewelry from one of the Wyland Galleries stores (Boardwalk or Polynesian). While of the pieces there are more expensive, there are also some well-priced beauties. Most recent was in December 2009, and was a silver tree frog with gold trim. It was only about $80, but has detail on both the front and back of the frog and can be worn with gold or silver, or both! And that was right as the Princess and the Frog was released, so it has double (or triple) duty as a memento.
