What was your most magical moment?

Wow, these stories are making me cry!

I've got several, but my favorite one is from my first ever trip. I was eleven and my younger sister was seven. We were riding It's A Small World for the first time. When the ride started, my sister turned to my mom and said "Now this is beautiful!" I'll never forget that moment.

One for me was being picked First Family of the Day for Soarin'. I think anything you get picked for makes you feel special.

Another was seeing my dd4 in Cinderella's Castle, thinking she made the lights twinkle.

The best was riding BTMR with my mom. It was at night...and BTMR is a different thing all together at night...and my mom was giggling...I don't think I'd ever heard that sound coming out of her before. I'll never forget that, as long as I live.

My most magical moment to date was at MGM in 06. We were on our honeymoon and as we were walking up to the Beauty and the Beast show we were given seating right down front and serenaded by the pre-show act.

However I'm looking forward to replacing that moment in a few weeks when we take my DD on her first trip to the "World."

Waaayyyy back in 1983, my first trip to Disney. The whole time leading up, all I could think of was that I was going to meet Mickey. Well, it was April vacation and I guess the Mouse was pretty busy. We didn't really get to see him and I was a bit disappointed. So, we're heading out to the car and are in front of the train station near the gardens. Suddenly, I saw the Man, the Mouse, the Legend! Of course, I wasn't the only one so ....... bit of a madhous. But Mickey for some reason grabbed MY hand and we skipped off into the sunset! I couldn't believe it! My dad got a gorgeous picture and one of these days I will find it. I kinda wanna frame it. The thing is, my memory is somewhat compromised because of a surgery, but that I remember. Still to this day, when I go to the MK, I look around to make sure I didn't miss him. LOL! I keep hoping. :)

Another time was the look on my niece's face when we took her in 2008 for the first time. They drove, we flew, and we met them in MK after landing. Just seeing her with her long, curly hair and the Cinderella dress, just too much. :lovestruc

Oh have to add mine.

First when DS13 (then 8) positively glowed when he met Mary Poppins, he was head over heels in love!! His face was bright red and could not say a word.

When DS9 (then 3) was kidnapped by Chip and Dale in Epcot. That was funny, the lady behind us shouted "Hey they just stole somebody's kid!"

When DS8 (then 2) said his first words, MY Nonald Nuh! And ran in sock feet straight up the Donald. Also when he was 3 we hid the fact that the red power ranger was at MGM until we were next in line for a meet and greet. Red was set for a low high five and instead got bowled over with the biggest bear hug in creation!

when DD4 (3 at the time) went on her singleton trip and she twirled and curtsied around the entire World Showcase much to the delight of everyone around her. People just stopped and watched her.

And on the same trip we were watching the Beauty and the Beast show and when Gaston kills Beast the whole auditorium was quiet and she shouts *GASP* HIM DEAD!!! I have no idea how Belle didn't chuckle because the whole place started giggling.

Ours was our honeymoon in 2006. We spend a LOT of time aimless walking on Main Street USA (it's our favorite area of the park). We were super excited to get to catch the Dapper Dans singing and they actually serenaded us! It was truly one of the coolest moments we've ever had- very unexpected and the perfect touch for the day!

This thread would be a better fit on the theme parks community board, so I'm going to move this here now.

I love reading everyone's stories! I'm so in the mood for my August trip with my mom! And next year with my hubby hopefully!

My hubby and I got married this last September at Disney and had our honeymoon there. The whole thing was magical, but I think one of my favorite things was seeing my grandma dance with Donald Duck at our wedding reception! She looked so happy. My grandma and grandpa don't go and do 'BIG' things like that, so I'm so glad we got to treat them at our wedding!

And also, when we had our family magical gathering at the 'Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween' party it was amazing. We were all super tired but it was so much fun! Disney sure knows how to do it!

Oh, and I know it will be magical seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade again at the World! I saw it last in the what was it, early 90s? I cried watching it on YouTube recently, I KNOW I'll cry in the park with my mom this summer!!

My most recent disney magic memory was one I created on my own. The girl I'm seeing came down to visit me and loves Disney as much as I do. :cloud9: So naturally we spent all of our time in the parks. She had only seen/stayed at three resorts (CBR, POP, and ASMu) So, me being a local, I took some time to show her around the beautiful resorts.

We just gotten done having a lovely dinner at Bistro de Paris, and decided to walk around the Epcot resorts. She was loving Boardwalk, so we are walking together, silent for the most part, arm in arm. We find our way outside near the Adult Quiet pool, where I swoon her into a dance, the crickets providing the music. Slowly rocked back and forth for a couple of minutes, spun her around a few times, and continued. We got to the rose garden, where I proceeded to pick a few flowers for her. =)

I have many more. But that one sticks out.

One time we went to MGM (at the time it was MGM) and the motorcar parade was coming by with very few people watching. The witch from Snow White was totally in her role and walked up to my dad about 2 inches from his face saying "You are a bad man, I can tell you are a bad man..." and so on. She stayed there for like 50 seconds. My kids were thrilled, and will always remember the witch pcking on "papa" but really I think she had the hots for him... ha ha.

Our family was chosen to be in a DVC commercial. We had many magical experiences including private time with Cinderella and Mickey and Minnie in the Rose Garden. It was there with Cinderella present that I gave my granddaughter my 50 year old Cinderella watch for her 5th birthday.

This is such a wonderful thread and I am enjoying all the stories very much.

Mine is from my first trip last August. Watching the Wishes fireworks show in MK with my GF, just the whole atmosphere at that moment standing in front the castle, holding her in my arms and thinking I finally made it here and with the one that love. It couldn't have gotten any better for me than that moment right there

On my first trip (not too long ago) my first true magic moment (besides seeing the castle for the first time ever!) was having Chip escort me to my very first ride, which was space mountain.

Now that I think about it, I wonder where Dale was...

And my second magic moment wasn't really a a moment per-say, but at various points through out the day, watching my DF2B's face light up when he was really happy or when I did something kinda little girly-silly and he laughed at me and my dorkiness. (Ah yes, Mr. Chicken Fingers, I feel the love). :lovestruc I love that.

I have two that I'll mention here but many, many more :goodvibes

First, it was our first day of my (then boyfriend) and my first trip. He had never been to the World and I was a little apprehensive as to whether or not he would like it. Well, we're walking out of EPCOT for the first time and I must have said something about an attraction being down etc. and he looked at me and said "we'll ride it when we come back" -- I knew then that he was hooked and it made me love him even more. :lovestruc

THEN fast forward 2 1/2 years. We are back at the world, in California Grill watching WISHES at a table by the window and he proposed -- just slipped the ring box into my hand. No one in the restaurant even knew but me (and knowing me, that is how I wanted it!)

We are going back with our 2 year old son in December and I can only imagine the memories I am going to have after this trip. I get choked up just thinking about it.

As we were heading to frontierland my DS4 grabbed both my hands and said, " Best day ever Mommy!" My DH and I looked at each other with a silent, Yeah! So sweet.

I grew up in Los Angeles County so I'm a Disneyland girl who now lives on the East Coast. My most magical moments - I can think of five, some from my childhood, some with my own children:

1) Watching the Tiki birds with my Grandma Mamie at Disneyland in the ealy 1970s. Little kid me was absolutely amazed by all those colorful singing birds. The Tiki Room is still a personal favorite.

2) My first Government Employees day at Disneyland in the 1970s with my Dad. We got tags to wear on our shirts that allowed us to go on any ride, as many times as we wanted WITHOUT a ticket from the old A - E ticket books. I got to ride the E ticket rides over and over again! I know this is not a big deal now, but back then it was sheer magic!

3) Christmas Eve 2001 at Disneyland. This was my first trip with my children (DS4, DD2). We walked out of Adventureland into the Hub at dusk. The castle was glowing, music was playing, the twinkle lights lit up and the whole scene literally took my breath away. I remember thinking if the beauty of this park can make me, a grown up, feel such awe, what must children think...that they're in heaven?

4) July 2010, my kids' first trip to WDW. We were exiting the safari at Animal Kingdom when a cast member asked us if we wanted a free behind the scenes tour. She took us to meet an animal keeper, see the animal pens, view the lions up close, check out the animal feed, hold an ostrich egg, gave us keychains and stickers...magical!

5) December 2011 WDW mother/daughter trip. DD12 and I were having a late breakfast at Tusker House when we were invited to ride on Mickey's float in the Jingle Jungle parade that afternoon. The look on my daughters face was priceless. They even gave us free photopass pictures of the experience...it was a total treat from beginning to end!
