What was your Major in college and do you use it?

I have my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Early Childhood Ed. Before I had kids, I was a preschool teacher, and now I'm a SAHM, but I still use that knowledge all the time, lol!

Well, I'll be graduating in May with a BA in theatre, so I don't know if or how I'll be using it in the long run although the current plan to is audition for Disney. But I have my heart set on a career in entertainment, and I'm a bad girl with no real backup plan!

Manufacturing Engineering.

Yes, I manage the production of a Navy aircraft.

BBA in Marketing
BBA in Management
AA in Advertising
AA in Fashion Merchandising (no laughing please)
AA in Interior Design and Marketing

I used to work in Advertising for many years, so yes, I used all of my degrees in some fashion. I am now a stay at home mom and still use my skills for volunteer work as well as houseshold management :D

I majored in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations (a concentration in Sino-Russo relations) with a minor in advertising.

I do not work in any of those fields but I use skills I learned in those courses of study everyday -- listening, thinking quickly, negotiating, team work, concise and clear methods of communication.

However, I honestly think the thing that prepared me most for every single job I've ever had was waitressing. I learned more doing that than I ever did during formal schooling.

Associates in Business Journalism
Bachelors in English

Worked 12.5yrs fulltime at a computer newspaper doing advertising.
Currently been working 4.5yrs fulltime in the Library.

And yes, I use it, mostly (all except the photosynthesis part).

BS Computer Systems Analysis and Design
Minor: General Business

Not anymore but I did use it for about 20 years before I moved on.

I graduated with a degree in English. Right now I'm in law school (last semester!!). My English degree has come in handy, but not as much as I was hoping. Writing english papers are REALLY different from legal writing!

Associates in Medical Science 19 years ago. I worked in the field for about 4 years and I haven't used it since.

Mine was communications, but after two years of college, I quit and went to work for the USPS. I've been a window clerk for 15 of those 22 years and find that what I'm doing IS basically communcations.:) And, get about what I would've gotten in this state salarywise what I would've gotten with the degree. Go figure....:)
Kim

Business Administration.

12 years in banking, so yes, I definitely used my degree.

Major: Math
Minor: Psychology

I use the logic part of my math degree since I am a programmer and I use the psychology part of my degree to try to understand DH. ;)

Computer Science with a Business minor and YES - use it every day. :)

Undergrad - Music, Grad - Clinical Pysc. I'm in I.T. (go figure). But I must say I use much from each of those disciplines every day.

BS in Agriculture/Parks and Recreation. Nope, don't use it, wish I did. I am a floral designer.

BA in computer Science and yes, I still use it (though these days I spend more time being a manager than a programmer)
