We are headed to Universal for the 1st time over the 4th of July and staying onsite at PBH for 4 nights. I know everyone raves about FOTL. I also know that July is a peak time. I am curious to know how long is the longest you have had to wait in the FOTL line and at what ride? Thanks so much for your responses! :)

Would like to know also. Will be there from 6/26 - 7/1 and staying at PBH. TIA

During Spring Break at the 11:00 to 1:00 peak times our longest wait was about 15 minutes for Spiderman. It should be noted though we noticed most of the purchased Express Pass Plus tickets were expended by 3:00 in the afternoon because the wait times disappeared by around 3:00 to 3:30. After 3:00 we walked on to most of the rides.

I overheard sales people tell those purchasing Express Pass Plus tickets that it will make your wait no longer than 20 minutes. They also play it over the speakers throughout the park, so I guess it can be that long.

It can really vary depending on how long the regular line is. For example, I have waited 30 mins in the Express line before at the Mummy, but the regular line was 90 mins long. I still thought it was worth it though, because my other option would have been to wait 90 mins.
At the ride I worked at last summer it was pretty much the same. If the lines are going to be that long, you may have to wait over 20 mins but your wait will still be significantly decreased from what the regular line's wait is.

Whatever the wait time, it is definately is shorter than the regular line! :thumbsup2

We were there in March and we did Mummy 5 times and saw the same people in the regular line basically in the same spot! FOTL Rocks!

I haven't been in the summer but I have stayed on site 5 times and I have never waited in line for more than a couple of minutes on anything except Dueling Dragons which doesn't seem to be very "FOTL" friendly. Stay on site and have the best park experience you'll ever have.

We can't wait to go. We are headed there after Disney and are very excited about FOTL. I don't even mind a 30 min. wait in July. I know it will be a blessing after Disney. Thanks for all of your answers!! :)

I waited 20 minutes in line for Hulk using an express pass at noon.

That's why I tell everyone to leave the park from noon to 4pm and go rest at the hotel room. Everyone shows up at 11am, and they want to do the most popular rides. So from noon to 4pm, the parks are jam packed with people, especially during the summer months.

Don't fight these crowds, even if you have FOTL. It's hot, walkways are packed, and there's no reason to be there from noon to 4pm when the parks stay open until 10pm. Go back to your room, rest, visit the pool, and go back to the parks at 4pm. Now you can use your FOTL and get walk on rides, then watch the fire works at 09:50pm.

Do the thrill ride tour of IOA in the morning, ending with the water rides. Doesn't matter if you get soaked, you're going back to your hotel room to rest. Then come back at night and enjoy the park with all the lights on.

We were there the week before Easter.

The longest waits with FOTL were for Dueling Dragons and the water flume ride.

Part of the problem was at the water flume the FOTL line and regular line intersect - the employee there had some angry regular line people - gave in and let more of *them* go ahead. He had apparently been doing that for a while that day.

I think DD wait was shorter than the log flume - but the walk up to the entrance is pretty long - I think it took about 30 minutes to ride.

The posted wait for the Hulk, Spiderman, BTF, etc... was 90 minutes or so each - we never waited more than 15-20, most shorter.

I keep telling everyone to arrive early, but the arrive at 2pm thing could also work. Those people are probably walking slower, so they don't care that the park is packed. They sleep in, hang out, and arrive for happy hour in City Walk.

Basically, they're skipping the morning visit, and arriving in the afternoon for an early happy hour.

I could never do this, I wake up at 6am no matter what. But for those who want to sleep in, there's your answer.

Whatever you do, don't come at 11am. It's the most busy time to arrive.

I just wanted to say that I totally agree and I think this is a great plan! :thumbsup2
