My first real vacations were when I was a child with my grandmother for long weekend trips to the Jersey Shore by bus, sometimes we even stayed a week but they ended when I was 11. I didn't vacation again until I had kids and our first real vacation was Disney World. My last vacation was Disney World and my next vacation will be - Disney World. I have been to Scotland a few times though.

My parents didn't believe in vacations until my youngest brother, the only child, was born. I am 22 years older than my youngest brother which is why we call him the only child.

First that I can remember was to Colorado in the mountains, it must have been in 1975 or 1976, before my younger brother was born. We had a tiny little camper that mounted to the back of our truck. My older brother and I slept on the folded-down kitchen table, our parents slept in the loft bed about the cab of the truck. There was literally only room to stand up in that camper.

Last, an Alaskan cruise with a total of 15 family members.

Next, DH and I are going to WDW for 10 days in early December. We are doing a split stay at Rivera and BLT.

First that I can really recall was Quebec.
Last vacation was Scotland, just got back a few weeks ago.
Next vacation isn't in stone yet, although going to WDW for a few nights in Feb (don't count that as a vacation, that' s along weekend in the middle of the week) and Dublin for work in March. We usually spend Christmas Eve or Day sketching out our trip or trips for the coming year.

I don't remember my first vacation.
My last vacation was at Disneyland last year at Christmas.
I don't know if or when I will have my next vacation. It will depend on my health and how well I can get around.

First vacation that I can remember was a trip to Newport RI with my parents (I was young)
Last vacation (and the one before that) was Hawaii, got home 2 weeks ago
Next vacation- probably Hawaii, though Ireland and Scotland are both on my list

My first vacation would have been a camp trip with my new family.

Last vacation was a 7 week camping trip.

Next vacation will be an 8 week camping trip.


Seems like my parents created a theme for me.

First: Disneyland CA when I was 4 or 5 is the first one I remember.

Last: Paris and Strasborug, just DH and I.

Next: Paris and Normandy with the entire family in June of 2026. The boys will be 20 and 17 at the time of travel. I'm so excited!

First: Family visited relatives in Ohio and KY when I was 7. (What I remember from that trip is my sister got stung by something that caused a ring to swell up all the way around her thigh and my parents had to take her to the emergency room.)

Last: DW and I went to Savannah and Tybee Island a couple of weeks ago.

Next: DW and I are doing an RCCI Western Caribbean cruise with friends in January.

1st for me were trips with my grandparents to the Great Smokey Mountains (1960's).

Last - Just returned from a cruise on the Disney Treasure.

Next trip - the Epcot Festival of the Arts during February 2026.

First, Niagara Falls sometime in the 60s. Last, Hilton Head Island earlier this month. Next, WDW in December.

First: Disney World in 1986 with my cousin, his wife and kids who were my age - my dad and older cousin drove a Winnebago from Scranton PA to Orlando. Along the way, we stopped at various places(Washington, DC, South of the Border, and I distinctly remember coloring Easter eggs in a Georgia rest stop) and while we drove did our school work since we missed two weeks of school. Awesome childhood memory.

Last: Caribbean Cruise to Dominican Republic, BVI, USVI and Bahamas out of Port Canaveral with my husband and our son.

Next: Rehoboth Beach for the week of Thanksgiving with my husband, son and my mom.

First vacation? My family didn't go on vacations. My grandfather owned a cottage in a seaside resort town about an hour's drive from home, so my mom and we kids would spend the summers there, just hanging out. I guess the first real vacation I remember was when I was a junior in high school; my mom took my boyfriend and me to NYC for 3 nights, but I don't remember too much about what we did (that was 50+ years ago, so...).

My most recent vacation was renting a beach house for a week in August 2025. In July 2025 DH and I visited my sister/BIL in NOLA for 5 nights, and in May 2025 we did the family trip to WDW for 5 nights (DH, DD, her hubby, his 8yo, and me).

Next vacation will happen in 12 days when DD and I go to Disney. She'll be there 3 nights and then I'll stay an additional 3 nights solo, split day between CSR (w/DD) and ASSp. Also, in Jan 2026 DH and I will spend 5 nights in NOLA at my sister's and 4 nights at Disney, staying at SSR.

First was probably to upstate New York or MA to visit family or my parents friends. We went there several times as a child. International was to Spain to visit my mom’s family.

Last was a cruise from Seoul to Tokyo with time in both cities pre and post this past June.

Next planned is Greek Cruise next September.

I think my first vacation was Santa Cruz. I was about 5. My dad sold lumber for a living and traveled a lot for business. Until I started Kindergarten my mom and I routinely went on overnight business trips with him. All the big lumber towns around here......Red Bluff, Corning, Anderson, Redding, Eureka, and Portland.
Last vacation was a few weeks ago, Washington DC, Virginia , Pennsylvania, New York on land, then , Halifax, St. John, Boston and Newport by sea.
Next vacation, no idea yet.

I cannot really remember my first vacation... I think it might to the Rocky Mtns as a small kid based on picture albums.

Most recent was Hilton Head SC and Savannah GA

First: Cornwall or Devon - most of my holidays as a young child were down here
Last: Norway (Fjords cruise)
Next: Hong Kong and Shanghai (in 2 weeks!), and then WDW after that in April/May next year
