Mine too! It was probably a Sears brand, since my dad was in management there at the time and got employee discounts. It was a deep Royal blue, with a blue banana seat that had silver sparkles in it, and blue and silver glitter tassels on the high rise handlebars. I loved that bike!
The first bike I remember was a purple two wheeler with a banana seat and a white basket with flowers on it. My parents told me it was from the baby she was pregnant with lol. I guess it was to get me to like the new baby. I didn’t (at least for a little while I didn’t like her).
But the first REAL bike I used all over the neighborhood, a pink Schwinn with banana seat and a white flower basket. I loved that bike. But upgraded to a Huffy pink/gray 10 speed on my eleventh birthday. That one saw a lot of use as well. I loved my bikes!
The first one I remember was aqua blue, and what I thought was so neat was that it had a bell, actually it was a push-button, on the front area, that I could push with my knee to get it to ring. This was back in the late 50s.
