What was your favorite restaurant that no longer exists?

We really miss Akershus, it was our absolute must not miss -waaaa :sad2: Another TS restaurant we loved was King Stefan's Banquet Hall, woderful food and such a lovely atmosphere! :sad1:

For fast food, the Adventureland Veranda in MK and The Farmers Market in the The Land - change is distressing...

King Stephan's Banquet Hall! It was elegant, the food was wonderful and the service outstanding. The change to CRF has been at best average. The food is no where near as good and the menu dumbed down to a few stagnant choices. The elegance is all but gone and replaced by characters. The service can be hit and miss. It's an okay experience now but far from what it used to be!

Chef Mickey's when it was in Downtown Disney, Bonfamille's at what is now called Port Orleans FQ, Fireworks Factory in Pleasure Island and the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary. I am sure there are more that I can't think of right now. Oh, this wasn't exactly a restaurant but we also miss Donald's Dairy Dip in Downtown Disney.

Oh, and also in Downtown Disney....who remembers Minnie Mia's and Goofy's Grill?

No longer on the Disney Dining Plan: Fulton's Crab House!

There was one time we went (extended family of 23) where the waiters would mention (if you were on the dining plan) that you can add a free lobster tail to any entree! (So their tip would be higher, obviously).

Bonfamille's we loved breakfast there. The skillets were the best, not to mention the beignets.

Concourse Steakhouse A moderately priced steakhouse and the best prime rib. God do I really miss it!!!

I miss the old Top of the World brunch and the ability to go up there for drinks and watch the fireworks without having to pay a fortune for a meal.

I have to agree on Akershus we loved the buffet but now that it is characters we will not set foot in there.

I miss the Tangaroa Terrace at the Poly. I have lots of great memories of breakfasts there as a kid.

King Stefan's Banquet Hall--wonderful view and it actually served real food. Its just sad to see that it has been ruined as a character meal with subpar food. (Plus my family can't stand the princesses).

I loved it when it was a proper restaurant with excellent menu choices. Now the food is less than mediocre and the prices are outrageous. DH and I have not been in there since the invasion of the princesses. :guilty:

Wow...I haven't been to Disney in twenty some years and that last trip we ate at "the castle," but there weren't a million characters...the fairy gm was on the elevator, greeting people. I remember that we had a really wonderful meal there.

I wish Empress Lilly was still there. My family and I had a wonderful meal there and we had hand made potato chips there back when that seemed like a real delicacy! I think I had prime rib. I still remember that meal and it was over twenty years ago.:rotfl:

I miss Le Cellier before the dining plan. I could walk in to Le Cellier at noon and sit down, no waiting and the place would be empty. Same great food, no crowds. Boo :(

"Top Of The World" Broadway type show at the Contemporary when it opened and Alfredo's in EPCOT

Top of the World is dearly missed by my family. Interestingly, Bay Lake Towers will have a "Top of the World" which will not be an analog to the Contemporary's former dining show. It's only a reuse of the same like similar to the new "Discovery Island" at Animal Kingdom.

Discovery Island is a memory in the middle of Bay Lake, which was a nature walk/interactive zoo. Ahh, memories!
