What was your child's favorite souvenir?

Was it the Sorcerer's Apprentice? We got one. Still works to some degree after more than 3 years, although it doesn't spin smoothly and one of the light points doesn't properly light up.

We also got one of those light up staffs with a Mickey head shaped end. Still - I'd say my kid's favorite was the Mickey balloon. I heard that they can stay inflated for months because the helium permeates extremely slowly through clear plastic, and the latex balloon doesn't really deflate when surrounded by the clear balloon. We made the mistake of not taking it with us and out of our car during lunch on a hot day in the Central Valley on the drive home. It was in many, many pieces.

Still - we've also gotten a lot of assorted stuff from Disney on Ice, including a light up cup and Mickey cup that had a snow-cone. There were cheesy Cars hats and foam Mickey Mouse ears. However, before even arriving (this was Oakland) we saw unlicensed vendors selling cheap non-Disney light spinners and light up wands. People were buying them and taking them in. They were still being sold after the show.

It was the one with the mickey shaped end and multicolored lights insude. The handle was blue. I think it may have been a 50th anniversary one. It still works.

Hoodies, definitely. We all wear them. You need a hoodie anyway...

Also, the Mickey spinner thing worked for almost two years (maybe more if we replaced the batteries?) My kid loved it for a long time.

I was thinking of the classic one where the sorcerer's hat spins and there are clear, flexible light up arms.

Pressed pennies and books, he is up to 3 of them and looks at them frequently.

The make it yourself LightSabre.

A Woody stuffed animal he won at the midway games at Paradise Pier.

A trophy we bought on a whim in Radiator Springs after we were in the "winning" RSR car 7 out of 7 times during a trip in 2014.

A sabre tooth tiger in a Star Wars costume from Build a Bear.

My kid does really like "tickets", so I'm hoping to maybe put together a scrapbook of old fast passes for him to look through. I wonder if I could convince the CMs to give me expired ones?

My 10 DD loves her Stitch plush dolls - she has quite a collection now and is always looking for a new one when she returns to the parks.
My DS 4, loves each car he picks out....and every Star Wars micro machine

We are lucky that the one thing my 4 yr old grandson obsesses over are the pressed pennies. We finally got him a collector book to keep them in, but he loves taking them out and showing them to anyone he can. The $70 star wars build-a-bear sits on a shelf.

When my boys were younger:

DS1: Yoda T-shirt - Judge me by my size do you
DS2: Buzz Lightyear toy blaster

My boys are older now (ages 13 and 11) love collecting and trading Disney Pins.

Clothes did get the most use. The least? Ear hats. I dont think we'll bother this time.

For myself? The silhouettes (sp?) of my kids and the GIANT coffee mugs. We put ramen in ours LOL

Ds11's favorite was the R2D2 tablet cover (he uses it on his kindle fire). Ds8 it was die cast cars from "Cars". Dd7's favorite was her stuffed stitch and mickey mouse earrings.

They happily will! And, often, they will just give you the one you turned in back. Dd likes to collect a few from each trip and when she asks for an old one, they are happy to open the box or just hand hers back.

Dd turned 14 at Disneyland on Sunday and her favorites have not changed much over the years....she still wears the birthday ears she got on her 8th bday at DL, hoodie/sweatshirts, buttons that are handed out (big fave and free!), and a backpack.
