What was your childs favorite part of your Disney Vacation?

Was it something extra that happened that made their face light up? Or was it a special ride..or character, or dining experience?

Last trip our kids made the height requirement for RnRC for the first time. They liked it so much we rode 14 times in two EMH nights! They're still talking about it (and we're still green)...

If you ask my son his favorite part, you'll get a list a mile long...but every night he tells me he likes to go to bed dreaming about flying in Peter Pan's ship overlooking London and Neverland. I just love that he does that!

Our son also just became 48 inches, and rode it for the first and second and third, etc. time. It's his new favorite ride.

But his favorite part of this last trip wasn't his 7th birthday, but losing his first tooth. DW got him a special certificate at MGM,

and the Tooth Fairy brought him 5 Disney Dollars and a Blue Fairy pin.

I took my girls when they were 3 and 18mths, and one of their favourite memories was Chef Mickey's. DD3 really got into the party atmosphere -- loved the characters and the monorail going through. The baby was apprehensive through the whole meal, until Mickey started spoon-feeding her ice cream to her -- best friends! Two years later, and my eldest still talks about the restaurant. We've booked it again -- and CRT lunch for the littlest princess.

Generally, at the preschool age, their greatest memories tended to be non-ride related: the parades, the shows, the characters, Downtown Disney, and of course... the hotel. "When are we going back to a hotel?"

That's an interesting question...
for my DD, 7, probably a toss between BTMRR or RRC (or the resort pools)

but for my DS, 5 there is nooooo question. It is the little tram rides that you take in the parking lot from your vehicle to the main entrance of the park!

Like DH said, we could have saved a lot of $$$ just riding trams. monorails, and buses all week! LOL

1. Pooh ride at MK
2. Playhouse Disney at MGM (can't wait to see the new Jojo's Circus part!)
3. The bus ride to and from the parks.

Of course she is only 2, so these were a very big thrill for her.

we went for the first time in May. It was a double birthday - my son's 7th and my nephew's first, so we did the Wishes Birthday celebration on two boats as the whole family -(minus one brother who could not get out of work) In our boat we had my three boys, my grandmother, my aunt,my dh and my parents, in the other boat which the two nice captains tied to ours, was my daughter an neice, my two sisters and their husband's, my bil's brother and sister and their families. When they started piping in that music, it was just utterly quiet as everyone watched the fireworks, most of us grown ups crying! It was THE most amazing night! That memory will be with all of us forever! It was everyone's favorite memory.

When DS was 3, his favorite part was the characters. It was by far the highlight for him. He just still talks about it--we saw & met 68 different characters. He also had a favorite ride, Goofy's Barnstormer, which he rode literally 12 times in a row. His favorite park was AK.

When DS was 4, his favorite part was the pressed penny hunt--we had enough to fill 2 1/2 books. Characters rated high again. Donald's Boat was a big hit. Favorite park was still AK. And the best part was the first day. We checked in headed to dinner at Chef Mickey's, walked over to MK just in time to ride a couple of rides and have a CM ask us if we wanted to sit in the VIP section for the parade ($100 a seat usually). All the characters came by paid extra special attention to our kids, the only kids over there. It was fantastic!!!

When DS was 4 he favorite thing was the Neverland Club at the Poly. And Splash Mtn. This last trip DS 7 & DD4 loved Soarin'. And he also loved Mission Space & the Slide at WL. DD loved the breakfast with the Princesses at Norway. And all the rides in Fantasyland. We as a family love the Monorail.

Took my kids this past June and my DD (7.5) favorite "thing" was meeting the Princesses in Norway for lunch and her favorite ride was Space Mountain.
My DS's (4) were the "slow race cars" aka the Speedway, the train that goes around the park and Test Track at Epcot!
Still hearing all about those.
Was a "magical" trip for all!!

We went in January and my son...who was than three...loved test track. He still talkes about it everyday.

We took DS to WDW for his 3rd b-day almost 3 years ago. His favorite thing of the whole trip was meeting the characters (and this was the boy that absolutely shook with fear at seeing Tony the Tiger character only a few months previous). His favorite characters were Chip and Dale and he was scared of Captain Hook. Peter Pan and Wendy actually offered to take him over to see Hook but he wouldn't do it. They told him they would protect him!

I have a picture from that vacation that I just love -- it's of him riding on the carousel with the most magical smile on his face. He's looking off to the side too. That's because Bert and two of the penguins were riding right next to him! (The penguins were sitting on a bench and Bert was being his usual silly self and riding on a horse while "laying" down with his feet up on the pole and his hands behind his head.)

Now he can't wait for next May when we go for his sister's 3rd birthday. He's already planning it all out and telling me he's going to be very brave now that he will be six. He remembers not liking most of the rides because they were so dark. This time he says he'll like them all and that he'll even want to go to get all the villains' autographs!

In 1991, when my son was four years old, we took a cruise on the Big Red Boat and spent three nights at WDW. This was a very expensive trip at the time. There was no Internet to help find deals. My son had a blast - he met the Ninja Turtles at MGM. Danced with Goofy and Mickey on the ship - had the time of his life.

After the trip, I asked him what was his favorite thing we did on the trip. He answered "The teacups". I spent almost $5,000 and he liked the teacups best!!!

We made a ton of memories from this trip!! ( our first ever to Disney)

They all 3 LOVED seeing Tinkerbell wake up!!! They all 3 loved having the presents in their room on return and never once guessed we left them!!! That was the highlight of leaving the parks at nightm, to see what goodies were in the room for them!!!

But over all----dd6 lost a tooth at Disney---will never be forgotten!!!!! And she met Belle--her favorite!

other dd6 loved and tells everyone that Cinderella blew a kiss and waved at her during the parade---this absolutley made her whole trip!!!

ds7 loved HM and was brave enough to make it through Space MTN (he is scared to death of coasters) and his moment was seeing the Sword in the Stone and meeting Buzz!!!

Me and dh loved Whispering Canyons---the staff was AWESOME and really made a GREAT first impression on Disney (this was the first place after we left the resort that we headed to)---you can tell how much fun just by looking at the pictures!!!!

The kids enjoyed sitting in front of the monorail--but didnt receive their co pilots license (which they didnt know about). And the first sighting of the castle on the monorail was absolutely PRICELESS and caught on film!!!! Eyes big and mouth was a perfect O on all of them!!!!

And 2 hrs after hitting MK--all the kids could talk about was getting back to the resort to jump on the beds!!!! Couldve saved a ton of $$ and stayed at a hotel and jumped on the beds!!!!!

And above all---everywhere we went--restaurants, on the airplance, busses, etc---we were told how well behaved our kids were and how much of a joy they were to see!!!! Which ,as a parent, is the ultimate reward!!!

Oh--cant forget this--woke the kids up at 4am to get ready to go "camping"---at 5:30am we broke the news they were going to Disney---ds7 face dropped--dd6 the youngest screamed and dd6 the oldest just calmly put her ear phones in and said, i know they are just teasing us----then to see their excitement at the airport was absolutely priceless!!!!

They loved Mickey's Philamagic(sp?) The smiles on the faces made it all worth while.

When DS was 3 it was Peter Pan's Flight.
When DS was 7 it was the resort pool.
For our next trip DS is 13 and he can't wait to try ToT.

DS was 15 months this trip (his first) and his favorite thing was riding the bus! But meeting Mickey came in a close second!

The look on his face as we stood in line waiting to meet Mickey and my DS realizing who it was he was waiting for--was priceless to say the least! Ear to ear grin! He loves his Mickey!

Last year my 5 year old loved the train! My oldest then 9 loved ANimal kingdom. Especially the dino area!

My kids like the pool. No matter what they go on and try for the first time its the fun they have in the pool that they remember the best. My nephews just came back and they said their favorite part of their vacation was the pool.
