What was your best present you got as a child?

Two things I remember most as a child:
- A little red record player. Over the years I had lots of children's LPs with books that went along with them -- wow, did I love those things. Lots of Disneys.
- A child's table and chair set. I had that set for probably a decade and played with it constantly, but what really MADE the gift on Christmas morning was that Santa brought it into my bedroom. Somehow that was the coolest of the cool in my mind.

My American girl Samantha doll. We did not have the type of money to afford those dolls but I drooled over the pleasant company catalog that kept showing up at our house. I wanted one for years and when I finally got it I burst into tears.

A Madame Alexander “Kitten” doll. I still have her.

My grandpa made me a dollhouse. I loved that thing so much! Another standout was my Barbie Beach Bus. Honorable mention, I was in 4th grade and had the flu, my Dad bought me a 4 foot coloring book. I thought it was so cool.
