We were scheduled to be at VWL Dec 9-13 but had to cancel due to my father being ill. I am still dying to go in December and am lookin at the week after Thanksgiving next year. To those of you who were there, what were the crowds like? Would you do it again? We are looking at Saturday to Saturday.

Hi, we flew to Florida the day after Thanksgiving and stayed until the following Sat. The first Friday and Sat. seemed crowded, but the following week was very nice. We never really waited too long. If something seemed busy, we took a fast pass and came back later. Most of the time when we came back with our fast passes, when we returned the standby lines were small wait times too.

And the weather was pretty good too. The first night was cool and we switched to pants (the weather there had highs of 60's before Thanksgiving) but after that we wore jackets a few evenings and some nights we didn't even wear a jacket. We used the pool in the morning and my kids went swimming one night at 10:30pm, and were fine.

This was the first time going the week following Thanksgiving. We were there from the Saturday following Thanksgiving through the next Saturday. We had fantastic weather all week. My kids swam 4 different days and the pool at OKW was perfect. We did MK on Sunday which was a little busy, but very manageable. Monday was EPCOT and again, busier than what I expected, but still better than we'd ever experienced before with crowds. The rest of the week was incredible. We were at MGM on Wed. and practically walked on TOT at 2:00 in the afternoon. That was unthinkable to us since we usually go in May.

We enjoyed going this time of year so much we will be going again next year. We usually go every other year, but this was fantastic.

Can't wait till 2007 trip.

I have to chime in and agree with everyone else - the week after thanksgiving was fabulous. We arrived the Sunday after Thanksgiving and went home the following Monday a week later.

Crowds were very low, the weather was nice and it was just very pleasant all around. the only crowds of note were a MVMCP and at Osbourne Lights - both of which are really to be expected and honestly were not too bad at all.

Mickeygolf - that Monday at Epcot...I was there too. I am thinking it may have seemed so busy because the Candlelight Processional's each evening had begun for the month.

This is all good to hear, since we will be there for the whole week of THanksgiving, and are planning to stay into the next week as well.

It was horrendous. Terrible week to go. Avoid it at all costs.

Ahhh.......darn.......I can't do that. As much as I'd like to keep the little secret to those of us who already go that week, I guess I'll be honest.

We arrived the day after Thanksgiving, left Saturday of the following weekend. The Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving are very busy. Expect long lines at all attractions, and substantial crowds throughout the parks. We did Epcot these two days as the park swallows up crowds. But fastpasses at Soarin and TT were all distributed for the day by 1:30, and the standby lines were up to 90 minutes.

Monday through Thursday of the following week are a delight. The crowds are pretty light. Popular rides like Soarin still had 45 to 60 minute standby lines, but most attractions were short waits, if not walk ons.

Friday of the week after the crowds arrived again. It was noticebly more crowded, with longer lines, but not as bad as the Friday after Thanksgiving. Saturday the crowds were back in full force.

We've been going the week after Thanksgiving the past 5 years. it's a great week. Low crowds, good weather, and all the holiday festivities.

So I shared with you........just don't tell anybody else!

Nice! We arrived on 11/26 and it was kind of crowded that day, but by 11/28 we were just walking right onto rides. Excellent time of year to go.
