I mean, that not that they were suprised that they got, but as an adult you were "suprised" that they LOVED so much!

My son went nuts over a pair of binoculars that I got for FREE at Target on Black Friday... I wrapped them up and put them in his stocking.

He put the case on his belt and was using them all day long! He went outside and used them, used them in the front yard, back yard, at the cemetary, and my FIL's house, and my aunts house!

I was just giggling over how much excitement a FREE item gave him!

My dd video now. I had read so many people posting awful things about this that I was afraid she wouldn't like it. Boy was I wrong. She has carried that thing everywhere she went and would only put it down to open something new and play with it again. When it was time to leave we couldn't find her, she was under the dining room table with it in deep thought.

My DD also spent the day with her Video Now thing...hope the interest lasts.

DS loves his new 13 inch cheapie TV for his room to be used with his Xbox only.

We bought norah some LLbean luggage...needed but not sure she was real excited about it.

The $1 slinky that was in DS8's stocking. He didn't stop playing with it all day.

DD11's big surprise was wanting to stay over at her cousins last night. Who wants to sleep out on Christmas night with all those goodies to be played with. But she did, her aunt will return her today.

Their reactions were pretty much what I expected, but the first thing they told their grandparents about was their gift certificates to Medieval Times. I knew they wanted to go to "the knights" but I didn't think the gc's would make that much of an impression.

My teenage son James' favorite gift was a Tiki tissue box cover. He's into the Easter Island / Tiki thing, and when I saw this item on Amazon, I knew that he would love it. It looks like a carved stone tiki, and you pull the tissues out of it's nose!

Is that similar to the thing at the Columbus Zoo???:jester:

Our girls loved the LIFE sized Care Bears(well they're the girls size...lol)

DD#1 was happy about her bean bag chair and her Freaky Friday DVD. DD#2 and DS liked the game boy advance SPs they got and DD#2 liked her Pooh stuffed animal.
The highlight for DS was the Disney adventures Peter Pan pirate ship he got at my parents' house. He had asked for it over and over again, but DH didn't want to get it because he got a Treasure Planet ship just a year ago. DS (5) is pretty spoiled by my parents (they watch him every morning before kindergarten, he is the youngest grandchild and only boy, etc.) and they got it for him--and he played with it every minute between presents and dinner. We left it at their house until after our vacation, but DS wants to go visit it today before we leave!

DD absolutely LOVED her kitchen and accessories. She walked out into the living room, the tree was on, DH was video taping and she said "Oh my Goodness!" It was SO cute! :)

The thing I think I was surprised that she loved was her viewmaster. We got Pooh discs to go in it and she just kept looking in it all day. :)

My dd LOVES her American Idol Karaoke Machine (in fact she's in the livingroom wailing on it as I type) and her Bitty Baby Twins (she named them Trevor and Jillian).

Cool, John! But at first I thought you were going to say James was a big Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room fan.

DS, Alex, is thrilled with his new pet hamster, Rolf. The habitrail cage Rolf lives in is pretty cool too!:D

The Video Now is a huge hit here. My 8 yr old son loves it. He wants to use his money to buy more CD's . He also loves the bouncing sit on ball he got. The girls just love clothes now.. too darned old. He keeps us smiling...

My DD7 loves her huge "Nala" (from The Lion King) that I got free from Toys-R-Us. They gave them away free with every $100.00 purchase. Go Figure!

DD7 and DS9 both really like their Video Now. DS9's favorite toy is his extra large G.I. Joe Jeep.

Last minute on Christmas Eve. I ran into Walmart for a tree stand long story...And saw these plastic gumball machines they each came with a half lb of gumballs. My kids all 3 boys loved them....$5 a piece. 1200 worth of toys and they loved they $5 item the most!

As a joke I gave my oldest DS a bag of "snowman poop", he thought it was hyserical. Has been carrying it everywhere and showing everyone. The humor of a 13 year old boy.

DD 9 loves her Operation game and giant package of construction paper! She is funny, she always loves the cheapest gift.

I gave my daughter a few small things since we were just at WDW and I paid for a great portion of that trip.

The one thing that was a surprise and that she loved was the Marie Osmond Queen of Hearts doll.

It was a big surprise and she was thrilled.

There were a lot of clothes under the tree this year. I was thinking it was a dud of a Christmas, because over half was "just clothes" but DS was completely thrilled with the clothes, especially one of the pairs of jeans, and a plain black t-shirt! Go figure!

My DS 6 loves the Ninja costume my brothers girlfriend bought him, he has not taken it off since Christmas day other than to sleep. My DD 9 loved her karaoke machine which I thought would be a great gift, now I'm wondering if I was temporarily insane when I bought it. :hyper:
