A very Happy New Year!

To anyone who was at the park today (1st) what were the crowds like-would like to go next year and curious about attendance...

Thanks so much

Patricia

Probably quiet in the morning but then very very busy in the afternoon.

Thanks mermaid!

I think we'll get up as early as possible next Jan 1 and go to the park-first thing...(we'll all pick rides we really want to do-and I'll make sure that we make a lunch reservation) after that we'll shop a bit and just look around...

Just am so curious what the Park will look like-I've heard its more similar to Disneyland (CA) versus Magic Kingdom in FL -very pretty-(I personally think that in the US the Ca park is more charmiing and magical (except in my daughter's opionion that the Splash Mountain in Fl is more "themed"...probably true...:confused3 and when they make the planned renovations to California Adventure-Can't wait...

Anyone else with New Year's Day experience....

Thanks so much...

Patricia

I've been to WDW and DL as well as DLRP a few times.

DLRP in my (and most peoples) opinion is the prettiest park.

The castle (pink!!!) is my favourite, although I like that the WDW casle has CRT and the suite and stuff in it. The Ca castle is wonderful as it was the original, but it's a little underwhelming after the other two.

Also i loved DL but found the older attractions (matterhorn!) made the park seem a bit fairgroundy to me...

I also think discoveryland is much nicer themed and better looking than the other parks tomorrowlands.

They do all have their good and bad points though - such is the beauty of life.

If i could visit and for free, I'd choose WDW, but I love dlrp for the caslte and detail and i think it has the best rides, but it think DL will always be the one with most meaning and sentimentality.

Londgwinded, i know!

I was there this year and due to the weather - very foggy and very cold not many people actually visited the park on the 1st however the days after were mobbed with queue times in excess of 2 hours :scared1:

Given a choice I would not choose to go to the parks on those days, it was nice to experience it but it was really busy and alot of people were complaining at how busy the parks were and the school holidays in August were mild in comparison to what we experienced over the past few days.
