What was the sale price for points during the original sale for OKW back in 1992? Just curious. :confused3 What is the sale price now?

The 1991 pre-opening price was in the $48 range. I paid about $51 per point in May 1992, and there was a slight increase in June or July.

Current "new" sales are over $90 per point, I think. Resales, of course, vary but are in the $65 to $75 point range.

They even offered a credit for our stay towards the purchase price. Too bad I had no idea what they were trying to sell me. We didn't want to take the time to do the tour.

What a dummy.

I am not sure when it first started, but know that the minimum point purchase in late 1995 was already down to 150. Sorry but I can't recall what month that was though.

Also, when were the free park passes, and was it 2 passes per bedroom? Were they offered from the start? Again I believe in the latter part of 1995 DVC reps were saying there were not a lot of points left with the free passes attached, but I wodner when they did officailly run out.

We bought into OKW in 1995 and got the free park passes. If you stayed in a Studio, you got 2 passes, 4 passes for a two bedroom and 6 passes for a Grand Villa. Minimum purchase was 150 points and we payed around $57/point. Loved those free passes but that only lasted until the year 2000. Don't know how long that deal lasted.

Wow.. if only.. but let's see in '95 I was about 25.. and Disney was no where on the radar for me..but boy if I could go back in time!!!

I paid 48 bucks for OKW in 1992........What a bargain.

I bought a resale in 1997 for $54 a point and received the free passes until 2000, as the original owner had them. What was great was that they let you borrow from your 2000 use year into your 1999 use year and we brought 17 people down with us, and they got the free passes too!

1) In late 1992, we paid $52.00/point for what is now called OKW.
2) There was some kind of a minor discount incentive.

I was quoted $101/pt for a 47 yr lease on OKW 3 days ago (200-240 pt range). I did sign for BLT, but I think the missus is going to have me rewrite into OKW before I put ink to paper.

That was a nice perk that I got to exploit from my parents (3 kids in '99 visit), who have been with OKW since almost the beginning.
