What was that ride that was like a ski lift chair and it took you over the MK? You could sit and look down at the park. That was great. I think it was in or near Fantasyland neat Peter Pan.

It was probably making all the other rides jealous! We all loved the Skyway.

I think it had something to do with a CM being killed while working that ride. I guess the liability after that was too much.

In my family we always called them "The High Things". We got my 4 year old son a Disney coloring book before his first trip to Disneyland. The thing he was most interesting in doing when we got there was "The High Things". He was SO excited when he actually SAW them and got to ride on them.

We were all very sad when they got rid of them.

I believe they closed it down for economical reasons. There was a CM killed when he was cleaning on the platform or somerthing and the ride was accidentally turned on. There is another thread on this somewhere.

I loved that ride!!! I have a great picture of Cinderella's caslte from the air that I took from it. I can see how it could be dangerous though....I don't remember having to wear a seat belt or anything.
