I thought this would be touch, because I have been to WDW so many times, but it really wasn't.
Last May, I took my grandmother, who I am very close to, to WDW. She hadn't been there since she took my uncle back in 1973 when he was a teen! That was pretty much the last vacation she went on. She is a breast cancer survivor (3 years), but unfortunately, has Parkinson's. I rented an
ECV for her and we stayed on property. At 78, she could not spend hours on end in the parks, but we did what we could.
Two events stand out in my mind - when we were waiting to get on the Haunted Mansion (they had to stop the ride for her), she was telling the CM who was waiting with us about how long it had been since she had visited, etc... The second one was later that evening, after we had dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern. We were waiting in the HC area for Spectro, talking with other guests. When the parade passed us, and I saw the look on her face, I realized that this was the best trip ever and worth every penny.
WDW sure is my favorite vacation destination!
