What was in your room upon arrival (either for your stay or coming back from a busy day)? I can't wait to hear (and hopefully see!!) what everyone came back to! Hopefully it's good things and not crummy, ruin your vacation type things!!

On our first trip we came back to our room after a day at the parks and found My DD's (then 6..only child then) stuffed animals all on one bed reading some of her books. The next few days we found the animals in various activities. Watching TV, sitting on the bench playing with toys, and lots of new friends joined the group...We got a new washcloth animal every day. DD loved the bunnt the best. That was at CBR.

We stayed at the WLV for a few days during that same trip...(Hurricane Rita hit Houston same day we were due to fly home. Always get the vacation Insurance!!!! It saved us $$$$) The Mousekeepers left us lots extra laundry soap which I though was so thoughtful. (we flew home to rolling blackout and all our laundry was clean!:goodvibes )

The last trip (coronado and now 2 kids) ....not one thing:confused: ...and we were there for 9 days! We couldn't even get mousekeeping to leave us bags for the ice bucket!

We've had 50+ trips to WDW and we've never gotten anything spectacular in our room, just a few towel animals sometimes. But even those seem to not be as common as they were a few years ago. These days I'm just happy if they actually CLEAN the room!!! :rotfl: :lmao: We've had many, many experiences of coming back dead tired to a dirty room. Not fun. :worried:

We had towel animals/people everyday and my dd's stuffed animal would always be included. The last day we had a person holding a bag full of shampoos, soaps, etc.

We're looking for just having the room cleaned, new towels, toiletries replaced and bed made. Thats all that need to be said. If anythings else occurs, its up to the mousekeeper but we're not expecting anything.

How fun for those who's stuffed friends got to enjoy the vacation too in the air conditioned room waiting for their kiddos to come back for them! :thumbsup2

I don't "expect" anything either. It's too bad that you came back and the room was never cleaned! That's awful! I have to say I think there would only be one day like that before I knew the manager's name and they were sure to know mine after I was done talking to them about making sure my room's clean. :headache:

We've come back to towel animals, including a bunny holding all of our toothbrushes in the bathroom. Mousekeeping has also frequently "set up" my DD's doll and stuffed animals in cute and amusing poses, like watching TV.

What we expect is a clean room, and enough soap, shampoo and towels for all of us. The rest happens if it happens, but we dont expect it.:)

At the Coronado, we have had bath robes brought to us for our use; we have had towel animals--last year a set of swans and a teddy bear and also last year a gift basket with wine, Mickey etched wine glasses and chocolates for my 50th birthday.

Well we haven't even gotten there yet but we have received an email with really cool stationary heading that I hope everyone gets! It is gorgeous and since we will be doing our anniversary at Disney I think I may send out letters to all that we are close to telling them this is where we are and thank you for having been part of the best (so far!) 25 years of our lives!

When we did our 15th at the resort, we had flowers and I mean Disney FLOWERS delivered to our room from the resort staff. We still wonder if it was because it was our anniversary or if it was because our room got broken into. Regardless it came with a lovely card that we still have next to our Beauty and the Beast Crystal Rose that we bought to commemorate the trip. The flowers though.....my gosh......wish I knew how to upload pictures because they looked like they belonged in the lobby of the resort rather than our room....that pretty!

We too always had towel animals and they always used the cute things we bought on our trip as part of the arrangement on the bed. Once they used my ds m&m stuffed doll, put his little water shoes on him, a hat, and he was holding a sand pail. My four year old ds LOVED this and of course we have pictures. I just think it's so thoughtful of them to take the time to do things like this.

on our last trip 2 years ago we opened teh door and let DS 3 go in 1st and he started SCREAMING theres a BABY in my bed get it out... we loved it he was scared to death

he (because it says his name is Ryan on his ears) was weaing my glasses DH's shoes and had one of the girls Autograph books and Ryans Mickey ears... on that trip there was something fun everytime we came back to our room...

much better than our 1st trip when we walked into our room and it smelled SO bad... someone had stuck a dirty diaper in the wall safe and smashed it in there (the safe was pretty small it was a HUGE mess) we got moved from that room right away though... I always wondered wht it would take to make someone do that

we also had an elephant once

I didn't think to take pictures of them until the day with the person in my other post ... then we took them the rest of the week... they also decorated our window with our animals and stuff... my daughter had taken her "baby" they had her waiting in teh window with a sign that said Hope you had fun at the park and mouse ears and sunglasses on there was also a day we came back to all our mouse ears in the window
another day our TV was on all the stuffed toys and Mr Potato head were watching TV not sure if housekeeping did this as I saw once in a movie that Mr Potato head comes to life when you leave the room so he may have done this...

One year at CBR mousekeeping did poses with our stuffed animals everyday. We would play along and pose the stuffed animals in the morning before we left for the parks, and we would come back and they would be in different poses (watching TV, eating snacks at the table, etc.).

Well on our last day they did an elaborate scene in our front window- a beach scene! They made a towel hammock, put down a towel for "sand", a towel palm tree, and had all of the stuffed animals in the hammock or laying out on the "beach" with our pool stuff- sunscreen, sunglasses and sand pail. It was hysterical! Everyone was passing by our window oohing and ahhing. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Other than that, we've gotten a few towel animals. We don't expect anything when we go, but the little extras are a nice sprinkle of pixie dust! :wizard:

Our mousekeeper at POR in May was fantastic! Not only did she leave us plenty of clean towels and soaps/shampoos/coffee everyday -- the room was always clean and tidy, with a few surprise "towel animals" thrown in.
Here's one of our favs from the trip -

2006-WL had a heatshped towel with balloons and cholcolate cup for our anniversary...had various towel animals and one where mousekeeping had made a cute little guy with sunglasses watching TV with the remote...kids still remember that one!:wizard: It was so awesome.
2008: (Poly) Not a darn thing:( ! even though it was DS birthday. kids were a little disappointed... and we were there for 9 days too!

In 2006, when we stayed at the WL for our anniversary, we arrived to a card signed by Mickey & Minnie and a glass full of chocolates. It was a nice start to our vacation!

We found this in our room at POR on our last trip.
