I'm planning a Disney honeymoon to surprise my SO and I started looking into activities for us while we were there. I was trying to plan all kinds of activities for us to keep us busy but then realized, we are going to be in Disney World. He's never been and the last time I went I was eight. So now the only activities I have planned (besides dinners) are the segway ride around Epcot (he'd get a kick out of riding a segway) and a haunted carriage ride around Fort Wilderness (i love Halloween). What in the world was I thinking by trying to overplan our honeymoon.

I will still have to plan since I need to make ADR's for restaurants so we can kind of be in the same area as our dining choices. We are going to be there for seven days and I'm planning on at least six table service restaurants. Is that too much? I'm planning on making at least two of them lunches so we can still enjoy the park shows at night. Six TS meals, a tour of epcot on segways and a carriage ride. Is that too much? Should i cut something out?

congrats! i think that seems good what you have! anything more might be alot unless you know of a tour or specific thing you want to organize for any particular day. fun/fine dining is something we enjoy, so having something interesting to do/go to for meal times is good and depending on where all you are eating, that could also affect your ctivites for the day, so having the one reservation per day is probably fine!

have you looked at any touring plans or attractions plans? they may give you some ideas to try and beat crowds and organize your trip planning (at least for parks) a bit. i think it is great to have a plan, some good info and tips, but also go with the flow once you are there!!! there are also some good apps out there that can give you wait times for rides which could help out when you are in a park.

but you may really enjoy just kickin' it around the resort, visiting other resprts, going to the pool.... i only wish we had more downtime during our "weddingfest"!

have fun!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I think what you have planned so far sounds great. I think the segway is one of the shorter tours, so that shouldn't eat up too much time. We may be in the minority, but we plan many TS meals while we're at Disney since we usually do the DxDP, so we have two per day. We also make sure to plan afternoon breaks to swim or hang out at the resort and at least one or two "rest" days where we only have plans for meals and the rest of the day we can do whatever we want. To minimize time spent traveling, we plan our ADR's for the same area we plan to be in. You can also plan some meals so you can see the shows at the same time. We've watched Illuminations while having dinner at Rose & Crown in Epcot and seen wishes from California Grill, Narcoosee's and you can even see some of it from Citricos.

oh yeah - i've done the segway tour in epcot - so much fun! you will love it! i haven't done the carriage ride, but it sounds neat!

i assume you are there around october then? are you doing the not so scary halloween party - you could go as a bride and a groom! :lmao:

I am assuming you are going in Sept or Oct. right? I would knock out the Segway tour. Forgive me if I am wrong, but i think you can try the segways out in Innovations. We see mostly older people cruisn in the tour, not honeymooners. :) But anyway, if you LOVE Halloween, I highly recommend the Halloween Party. So pick the one in the middle of the week. If you look soon, you will see the dates and some have cheaper prices like on a Thursday night. Pick those nights. We had a blast. Get yourselves a great spot to watch the parade & fireworks in front of the Castle. We like sitting on the edge of the circle (right on the curb) in front of main street looking down at the castle. You will have a great view of everything there. Highly rec. you do this, it's a blast! Get your tickets and seats early.

As for meals, If you try and get the early dinner- the first setting reservation, you will be in & out fast.....Except for in Fracne, nothing is fast there!

I think your plans sound great! I think you will both love the Segway tour! We have done it twice and loved it--yes you can try it out at innoventions but the tour gives you a lot more time and it's really fun to ride around world showcase before it opens!

i second keeping the segway tour if that intrests you i will say that at 43, i was the OLDEST person on that tour! ha! it was a lot of fun to whiz around the world showcase - just wish you could go faster!!

Early lunches are the best option for TS. Get in and out quickly and while everyone else is eating you can go to some of the more popular attractions. We usually used our snack credits for a light breakfast if we were having a TS lunch that day.

HTH

thanks so much for all the input. i didn't even think about the halloween party but i'll definitely look into that now. i feel so much better after hearing all your suggestions!

I think your plans sound great, you get to have some nice sit down meals and still have lots of free time to relax. Enjoy your trip!
