I'm not joking.
And don't call me Shirley...
(btw, for that to work you should have written surely, not Shirley)

So at $500 or so an hour, how many people does that cover?
would a not quite 3 year old count as a guest? I'm guessing not.
Also, what about those in the group that don't do rides....poultry exits only.

We have a VIP tour booked this fall. It’s a surprise for my mom’s birthday. Any thoughts on a good special birthday request while we have the guide?

And I spent the first half of it trying to get our guide to refer to the other guests as peasants.
... my daughter yells out ....
Mine was going to say "I'm Celebrating my VIP Tour" but the guide took my sharpie away. They kinda try to keep it on the down-to-earth.
And I spent the first half of it trying to get our guide to refer to the other guests as peasants. She wouldn't. But at the very end we see a huge crowd of people and my daughter yells out, "sure the peasants are revolting" and the guide finished the bit from the movie, which was funny because my daughter had never seen ''istory of the world'
What a great role model.
I believe the poster was making a joke and that his/her daughter didn't really yell that out. Maybe it was a reference to when the show Blackish went to Disney and had a VIP tour.
I don't watch a lot of TV so if the whole thing is riffing off of that episode then OK.
But if not I'm talking about the part of referring to people who weren't on a VIP tour as "peasants." I don't teach my children to think differently or talk down about people who aren't able to experience the same things that we do. Even if in jest, it's poor taste especially if it's a younger child who wouldn't know any better. But, given the lack of context I guess it was premature to comment on it.

Ever heard of a joke/being sarcastic?I am assuming and hoping that was the reference, otherwise, it is definitely in poor taste.
Even if money were no object for us I don't think these are something we'd do ourselves. But we prefer a slower pace and have never felt a need to cram in a lot in a little time. For those that do, I can see itAgreed! Never really looked at the price and this thread intrigued me. The peak price for one day would easily cover 2, week-long solo trips for me. Dropping $3-4K in one day on vacation? No thanks.
Your whole trip could be one day....no extra hotel nights, no expensive meals...Jeez this thread is making me feel insecure about my income. I can't fathom spending that kind of money in one day when it would normally cover an entire trip for me! That's absurd.

Probably not a good idea to take every post made as literal. Lots of people make posts that are tongue in cheek.
