What view besides the Boardwalk?

If we are not able to get a BW view, what other requests should I make?
We are taking friends with us in October and this is the first time we have splurged for a preferred view. (We want to really impress the friends, because they have already expressed an interest in DVC.)
I don't want to get stuck with a view of Luna Park.
Don't want to sound negative, but pools and constant screaming children are not my idea of the relaxing vacation.
(I know, I know...I am at WDW, what do I expect???!!)
So, please give me an idea of what over types of views to request so we can be pleasantly surprised.

The only other option would be to look out over the "quiet" pool. But, I wouldn't be too quick to discount the Luna Park view. Both pool views also include a pretty impressive panorama of the Studios, Swan/Dolphin and the waterway. When the balcony doors are closed, you really don't hear much noise.

I would request top floor, you shouldn't be close enough to hear noise. You also wouldn't get stuck behind the pool slide steps.

Luna park ground floor is the only time I'd use my points for a preferred view...It's really pretty and convient to boot..

Boardwalk was too loud the one time I was there....so I spend my points on a standard view...

For your purposes, you might want to request the quiet pool view. They are very quiet rooms, with easy access to Community Hall and a headstart on your walk to MGM.
