What vacation spot were you most disappointed in?

Not a debate(one mans treasure is anothers trash) but where will you not go back to and why.

For us it is Dollywood. Of course, the camparison is always Disney. We are not "show" people and shows are a big part of this park. Very few good rides in our opinion and overall the park was too small.

Cocoa Beach was a bit disappointing but I'd go back briefly. I didn't care for Pensacola all that much either; it just didn't have much for us to do.

:rotfl: That's our #1 favorite place!

And we really enjoyed Hershey Park, too. Not in a Universal/Disney sort of way, but it was a fun day.

I'll have to say that I didn't enjoy Busch Gardens Williamsburg as much as I thought I would. We still had a good time and I would go back, but I thought that I was going to like it more than I did.

Not exactly a vacation spot, but we did not like the Six Flags in Largo, MD at all. They'd have to pay me for me to go back.

Myrtle Beach. We went there for our honeymoon and I hated it. We actually got our money back and came home early. I think it was too touristy for me when I was looking for romantic :confused3

Yeah, I didn't like all the non beach stuff at Myrtle Beach. I felt that we were hardly at the beach and we ended up spending more $ than I like to spend on a beach vacation. We were the guests of my sister, though, so that was nice.

Sorry to all of those who live here, but ours was Atlanta, GA.

It wasn't just Atlanta but other things along with the city (cancelled flights to and from, lost luggage, sick baby, bad hotel and restaurant experiences) all rolled into one made it our worst trip anywhere.

for us it's San Diego and Maui. We were so disappointed in Maui. We love Oahu though.

I've been to Atlanta (or through it, really) three times--one as a teenager and the other 2 times as adults. I did not like it at all the first 2 times. Liked it ok the last time since we went to see a baseball game (nice stadium).

Colorado. My favorite mountains are Splash, Space, Big Thunder, etc. :earsboy:

Santa Cruz, CA.

We went from San Francisco (loved it) and drove down the coast. and we hated Santa Cruz. First and only time we checked out of a hotel early.

I was very disappointed with the Bahamas. We visited St. Thomas, St. Croix and Nassau. With the exception of the big hotels, I found them to be depressing and not very pretty. I expected them to look tropical in the same manner as Hawaii. Not so. The level of poverty was so depressing. I have no desire to ever visit there again.

I'd have to say Key West. We spent a day there on the Disney Cruise. It was soooo boring! Maybe if I'd known about the "chicken thing" before I went I could have at least spent the day checking out the chooks. As it was, I saw only a very few birds and didn't know till the end of the day that Key West is known for it's chickens.
