What UY for sale now at BLT?

Anyone know what use year we'd get if we bought now (plan to buy in 2 weeks) at BLT?

I'm assuming/hoping we can get a UY May or earlier so we can book a May 2010 vacation using 3 yrs worth of points.

We do have another contract so I know we'd normally get the same UY (September for us) but we're buying more points than our current contract so I read we could get a different UY, right?

They normally want you to get the same use year as your master contract. However, if yo insist usually you can get any use year you want if you are an exisiting member. It will require a new master contract.

Can't answer for sure what's being offered now at BLT but May is NOT a Use Year and neither is January, July or November at BLT or any DVC Resorts. Use Years are February, March, April, June, August, September, October and December.

To get a different Use Year than your existing contract, if I'm not mistaken, you need to purchase the minimum number of points required if you're making this purchase direct with Disney, presently 160 points, because technically these points are not considered an add-on but would be considered a new master contract/purchase so you'd need to buy in at the minimum.
IIRC for you to purchase less points as is the case with an add-on (presently min 100 pt at BLT & min 25 pt at other DVC resorts) then that purchase of points must have same Use Year as the contract you hold now.

You are correct. A new master contract with a minimum purchase requirement and a new membership number.

I don't suggest multiple UY's, I find them to be a real pain to keep track of and our preferred vacation times have already changed.

We recently added on March use year. I imagine you can purchase any you'd like. I would just guess that none are sold out, as I am surmising from these boards that sales are not moving very quickly.

Thanks other posters too. We're well aware that we have to purchase 160+ points to get a different UY and plan to purchase 250 or so. Maybe a 160 and a 100. We specifically want earlier than May because we plan to vacation at this resort usually in May. Especially important for our 2010 vaation where we want to use 3 yrs worth of points for a GV. Would like to do that every 3 yrs actually. (Don't worry, not making my buying decision on one vacation.)
