What Use Year

Hi. I'm thinking about buying DVC and wondering what use year I should be thinking about. I always go in January for marathon weekend plus a couple of days and we usually go for a week during Food and Wine Festival - probably first week of November. Any suggestions on what use year would work best for me? Thanks.

It is wise to get a Use year, where the last four months are when you won't be traveling. A September or october Use year probably makes most sense.

If you're buying direct from DVC, I didn't even know you could choose your UY. We were just told the month year that was being sold so that's what we got. We lucked out, I guess, since we've never had a problem. We just didn't think about it and ween't given a choice.

With your travel dates, I agree that a September or October UY works out to offer the most flexibility in terms of what to you can do with points if you have cancel or change a trip.
