What use year to transfer points?

I have an October use year, so I am currently in my 2007 use year until next October. I still have some 2007 points but would like to transfer some of my 2008 points to another member. Will this be a problem?

No problem at all. Last Fall, I received a transfer of 2008 UY points from someone with an April UY. Just remember that once transferred, points cannot be borrowed, so your '08 points won't be good for a reservation prior to October '08.
