What Universal movie would you like made into an attraction?

some of these ideas are pretty good!

I LOVE LOTR!

so do they take ideas from guests or do they have a team like the Disney Imagineers set up for that?

do they have the space to add more or would they have to tear one down to put another up?

I'm sure they have groups of engineers who come up with the ride ideas and such. Too bad they don't asks guests to vote on what attractions to add, although they have been doing that on the Harry Potter Universal site, but never on major rides.

I'm sure Universal has plenty of space, specially with all those buildings not being used. IOA seems to be cramming Harry Potter between LC and JP, so I'm not sure. I thought I read somewhere that they still owned hundreds of acres? I could be wrong though.

Hopefully I'm not wrong and we'll be seeing a 3rd gate and maybe more hotels in the next 5 years or so. :thumbsup2

I really like that idea...it could be called Kong: The Escape...or something like that.
:yay:he fried before i had a chance to see him in LA:sad2:

Yes!!! The first thing I thought of was the classic monsters. I wish that they would have an attraction, real restaurant, anything!

why not retrofit the CS one they already have, make it a charactar venue?:)

IMO, the walk thru attraction out in LA is very good-lots of classic monsters, why not one in Orlando...along haunted house idea year round...mini me version.
What about Transformers? A ride based on that could certainly be action packed.
.
:banana:autobots, engage! if they find a meagan fox look-alike attendance would spiral

don't think LOTR would translate well:confused3instead of the ring, could throw the tourists who run out of money into the fires of Mordor:rolleyes1

There are some really great ideas here. I hope US takes notice.

I'm a huge LOTR fan, but not sure how it would translate to a ride. There is just so much material it would have to be a whole land. Aragorn everywhere would be great (I even named my dog after him, Strider) but I'm a huge Legola s an. Give us an elf ride, and I'd be in heaven.

Transformers would be a great ride. I can imagine it being like Spiderman. A simulator 3-D on a track. Can you imagine an evil Transformer reaching for you as your transformer vehicle speeds away at the last minute? That would be great.

I also agree about the Hellboy ride. Those monsters just scream for a ROTM type ride, only with more thrills and coaster parts. Rolling through the subways of NYC. Visiting a graveyard. Dropping into the pit. A fight scene like at the end of Hellboy II. A firestarter room. Hellboy is my HERO.

Universal Studios Hollywood is coming up with a Transformers dark ride...but not for Orlando since Orlando is getting HRRR and Harry Potter. This is what I've heard

Universal Studios Hollywood plans Transformers ride for 2011

Transformers ride at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood will add a Transformers ride in 2011 featuring 3-D high-definition footage with special effects and robotics.

Scheduled to begin construction in fall 2009, the ride, based on the blockbuster 2007 film, would replace the Backdraft and the Special Effects Soundstages attractions at the movie theme park, according to Variety. The entertainment industry trade newspaper says the price tag for the Transformers ride could top the $40-million Simpsons Ride.

An identical Transformers ride is scheduled to debut first at Universal Studios Singapore.

Screamscape speculates that the new Transformers rides could constitute the next generation of Spiderman dark-ride systems at Universal Studios parks in Orlando and Japan, which mix in-your-face special effects and super-size 3-D projection.

In the ”Transformers” movie, which earned $708 million worldwide at the box office, the friendly Autobots battle the evil Decepticons, robots that can turn into cars, trucks and planes.

Steven Spielberg, an executive producer on “Transformers” and a creative consultant to Universal’s theme parks, previously developed rides and attractions based on “Jurassic Park,” “E.T.,” “Jaws” and “War of the Worlds.” A “Transformers” movie sequel opens in summer 2009.
