Not sure where to post this, but our cats are part of our family so I figure the family board is as good a place as any!
We recently came back from an 18-day tirp to Hawaii, which really was fantastic, except for some problems with transportation--cancelled/delayed flights, lost luggage, the usual! The trip itself was great. We left our four fur babies in the care of a pet sitter who came by 2x daily. She truly did an excellent job, the cats were fine when we came home.
Of course, we paid for her services, however, I feel she went the extra mile or so for us and I would like to express my appreciation. I'm debating a gift, or a cash "tip". While in Hawaii I bought many beautiful items, many of which have websites. I could order her something nice from Hawaii, sent directly to her (otherwise, it might be logistically difficult to get her present to her, I can't expect her to come by to pick up her gift, and taking it to her is difficult since she obviously has irregular hours). However, she might appreciate a cash gift, instead. After all, we can all find a use for cash! However, a gift might seem more personal. I was thinking perhaps some locally made wine, perfume, or jewelry. Well, any suggestions? She really was great and deserves something nice!
