What Type of Ear Plugs Do You Recommend?

Any brands of earplugs out there that you all like? My 2 DS's are sensitive to sounds, some of the rides were too loud for them last time. I would like to hear about over the ear types for one, and ear plug-type for the other boy. Any help would be appreciated.

These are the kind of over the ear muffs recommended most:
Peltor Junior Earmuffs

They all come in pink and blue and many kids like to decorate them with stickers. If your child is too big for these, any of the Peltor brand ones get good reviews.

The in ear kinds are not as popular from what people have posted on this board. Many of the kids who are sensitive to noises also don't like the feel of something in their ears. If you want to try some, I would check out the ratings on Amazon. The 3M/Peltor brands are generally well reviewed, but keep in mind that most people using them are probably adults, so the fit may be different for a child.

We use the putty type earplugs that you mold with your fingers into your child's ears. We have used earplugs on our kids on Dinosaur at AK and RnR at HS.

My sound sensitive children use the Peltor ear muffs with great success. We've tried the squishy foam in-ear plugs, but they always seem to fall out too easily and my child with ASD does not like the feeling of them in his ears. I'm going to try the Hearos the PP recommended!

For in-the-ear ones, if you just want some from the chemist, then I'd recommend the putty ones. However, for even better ones (and this may seem kind of odd), I'd recommend Piper-Safe. I have a set from when I used to play bagpipes (yes, seriously) and they are EXCELLENT! They filter the noise (they have 2 different filters), rather than just muffle it, so you should still be able to talk to him, but the overall noise will definitely be reduced. They are also VERY comfy - I used to wear them for long periods and couldn't really feel them. They have an inserter piece which makes them easier to put in (but you can get them in without it). They also come in a little plastic container.
