Do you have just laptops, desktops, or both?
which gets the most use?

1 MacBook laptop
1 MacBook Pro laptop
1 iMac desktop

Each of us have a laptop and then the desktop is in our room. We hardly ever use the desktop which is a shame. I thought we would use it a lot more but it's just more convenient to be in the family room versus being in our bedroom.

Three laptops. My girls each have their own and I have this. DH hardly ever gets online, but when he does, he used mine.

DS's have PC's, both HP. I have an HP laptop I am very happy with. DH didn't want me to buy a laptop as he thought I wouldn't like it. I love it. He has 3 at home all from work and several more at work. The ones at home are laptops. We are not a MAC family.

We have 4 laptops and one desktop. The laptops get used most of the time. The desktop pretty much only gets used now when the kids want to load songs to their Ipods or if the twins both need to type papers at the same time.

My family of three has 4 laptops, 1 netbook, and 1 desktop. The desktop is a paper weight at this point.

I have a Macbook Pro and a Toshiba laptop. I go back and forth depending on what I'm doing. There are things about the Macbook that annoy me so I typically work on the Toshiba and play on the Macbook.

Our home:
  • 1 - Desktop
  • 1 - Notebook
  • 1 - Home Theatre PC
  • 1 - iPad
  • 1 - iPhone
  • 1 - Droid
  • 2 - Media Center Extenders
  • 1 - Digital Internet Radio

2 laptops, 2 desktops, 1 netbook,
I like my desktop best...I generally work from it it "regiments" me as I work from home and it STAYS in the office, thus I cannot ignore it:rotfl:
dh loves the laptop, his third arm....
Teen lives off lap (school/work) and has a Very "built" desktop that was customized for gaming...dont even go there...
Netbook is for easy portability and used least...
His phone (droid? I forget) is his lifeline, me not so much....I have no desire to be "talked too, updated (twitter) and contacted 24/7" To me a cell is for My "have to speak now" versus.... gabbing ;)
I like quiet :)

We have a desktop and a laptop. The desktop gets used all the time. We hate the laptop. Nothing wrong with it but we prefer desktop!

We have 2 desktops, and 2 personal use laptops in the house. They all get used the same, the desktops are pretty much for gaming, I use a netbook for DISing:), and the other laptop is for surfing.

I have:

• a desktop
• a laptop
• an iPad
• an iPhone (as of Mother's Day)

I have to say that the desktop or iPad gets the most use. A few years ago, I was without a desktop and used my laptop (different one) 24/7 (well had it runnign 24/7). It crashed -- fried motherboard. It was cheaper to buy a new laptop then repair the older one. Anyway, because of that, laptops seem so delicate to me so I use the desktop or iPad mostly. However, last week I was doing a lot of computer work (grad school) so I went back and forth between using the desktop and laptop (kept the laptop in sleep mode out int he living room) and used my "cloud" to get work done.

And, while I do love my iPhone, it's tiny to do serious work so I use it to check things out here or there......or use it to play Angry Birds when DD (age 3) is playing on of her iPad apps.

2 desk tops with 3 monitors for dh work.

I lap top owned by dh work rarely gets used

My ipod that gets used constantly.

desktop, couple of Dell laptops, one Macbook Pro, one Mac Air, couple of iPADs and a desktop.

I mostly use one of the Dell laptops. The Desktop is primarily getting used as a Server, Hard Drive back-up for our media files.

We have a desktop, which is rarely used. I have a laptop. DH has a company supplied laptop. DD has a netbook. It is DS's greatest wish to have his own netbook but , for now, he uses whatever is available...except the company laptop.

We have an HP desktop, a Toshiba laptop, a netbook (can't remember the brand), an Ipad, an Ipod touch and three Blackberrys. I would say the Ipad gets the most use with the laptop running a close second. The desktop gets used for homework mostly and before we got the wireless printer, it was used when something needed printing. This is all for a family of three. I don't consider myself a tech geek, but I love all the new tech stuff and will admire something for a short while before DH decides I MUST have it! Oh yeah, I forgot, DD has a Nintendo DSi, a Sony PSP and we have the Nintendo Wii. Again, DH is ridiculous about buying stuff if he sees a glimmer in our eyes!

2005 Compaq desktop. Can't see spending money on an internet browser when this one works just fine for what little internet browsing we do at home. We don't live on the computer.
