What toy was a hit with the kids??

DS(3)- Imaginext Batcave and accessories- He's completely engrossed in this thing and the rest of his new stuff will have to wait a while...

The rest of the family-Wii!! So much fun!

ds 14- movies, ds games, wii games, coat and bakugan sp?

dd10- sleeping bag, ipod nano, pj's with feet, and stuffed penguin that tummy warms up (she is cold alot)

ds8- ds games, webkins likes glow station but wants it set up

dd 4 months- well I like her new little chair her grandma got her. She loves her my little love bug book, and her kitchen rattle set

My favorite was getting my mothers ring updated it was a surprise I wasn't expecting yet

dh loved his ipod

Video games were a huge hit:

Wii : Monopoly, Carnival Games, My Sims Kingdom

XBox 360: Call of Duty World at War, NFL Head Coach

The big hit for ds 15 was Heroscape. It's a role playing game with pieces you set up. He played it at Scouts and just had to have it.
Now all his cousins have to have it after playing it with him. Funny thing is, all the cousins range in age from 20 to 30!!!

wow, those who got bendaroos, how old are your kids? My dd 4 wants them so badly, but I was afraid they were another sold on tv nightmare product that looks so good on tv but really is a piece of junk (thinking of those dots you had to put water on- can't remember the name).

If a young child can play with them I may consider them for her birthday. TIA for any input!

On topic, my dd's faves were the sleeping beauty vanity and the Caring Corners dollhouse.

My DD is 5 & DS is 9. I use Bendaroos (called Wikki Sticks) in my 1st grade classroom. We use them to make our spelling words, circle places on maps, underline/circle words on shared reading Big Books or poems, etc. They are versatile and very easy to use.

They are basically wax covered yarn. DD5 loves opening a coloring book, filling in the picture with Bendaroos, and "lifting" the picture off the page. DS9 has made typical "boy" things with his- a hammer and nails (sooo cute), New Orleans Saints decorations on the wall in the his room, etc. The box comes in a package of 500 so be prepared to pick these up all over your house :lmao:

We got the kids Wii last year and it was the best money we have ever spent on a toy. I think we have played it just about every day for the last year.

This year the best gifts seemed to be Guitar Hero (for Wii), we all have been playing it for hours. We also got Wii Fit but we don't plan on opening it until this weekend (we have a small family room and the tree is taking up too much room), but I worry that may not be as much fun, we'll see.

Also, Santa brought Biscuit for my DD9 and DD6. He really debated it but in the end brought it and I am so glad he sis. It is so much fun and the expressions are so real. We can't have a real dog so he is the next best thing. We love him.

The kids all seem to enjoy The Claw, the candy crane game. Our first one came broken but I exchanged it without the kids knowing and told them it was just bad batteries.:rotfl: It is working great now.

My DD14 wanted $75 colored pencils and luckily Santa found them on a deal for $22 (for 12 pencils :scared1: ). She was shocked to get them and very pleased...

Santa brought that Cinderella Catle toy to my DD9 when she was 3 and they still play with it, but with Polly Pockets (all the pieces broke a long time ago.) It still looks pretty in their room too.

I like reading this, we have a birthday in 2 weeks. I'm about done byt maybe some Bendaroos...

Let's see:

DD14 - Got a DS from her mom but didn't seem excited about anything else she got.

DD12 - Loves her new digital camera she got from Santa, the digital frame she got from us, and the MP3 disco ball from Grammy

DS7 - Gameboy Advance with games, and his lego's. He got the enitire Fireman's set and then got some money and went and bought the Pirate set, well the 3 smaller sets anyways.

DS5 - Gameboy Advance and games. He hasn't stopped playing, even spent his money on a couple more games. Next Fav was his snowboard set-up and his ever fav were puzzles, used his money to buy even more of those.
